    Fun fact! If you have the Corsair iCUE software installed and get sh*tty results, simply uninstall it. It does magic!

    I went from Bronze sample (no OC) to Silver sample with +200 OC & undervolting.

    Hello everyone on the forum. I have some questions if you'd be good enough to help me please. Ive tried to find the answers myself but have nothing definitive.
    First up, I am a complete noob with overclocking, my previous experience was to simply let AMD catalyst set my old FX6300 with the use of a slider and thats about it.
    With the upgrade to the ryzen system and the default setting being overclocked to 4.2ghz, i've decided to do something about it. I've been into the bios and activated my XMP on the memory but the rest of the bios settings are eye watering stuff for me. I have Ryzen Master and yes i could use the easy mode with the sliders, but its the voltage settings that confuse me. What a stroke of luck that we have 1usmus to sort all this kerfuffle out for us. Massive thanks go out to him for his effort.
    Ive download CTR 2.4, and im guessing that v2.3 is no longer available? The installation instructions are requesting i download Cinebench20 and extract to the CB folder within the CTR archive, but there already seems to be CB20 folder in that destination. Is this because its now included with v.4 or should i still go ahead and copy it?
    Is there still a necessity for me to enter the bios and change the LLC to lvl3 for asus or is this now automatically done? The more youtube videos and posts i read the more ive become unsure.
    PBO on or off? Any other features need changing in bios?
    The bios version for my mobo is 1004, it seems a lot of people have issues with this version, but for me my system has been running stable and ive had no problems. I guess hardware has a lot to do with this? So should i update to the latest version or stick with the version that works?
    I'm really looking forward to running this app and seeing what it can do for my system, I'm more interested in it tuning my voltage to try and keep my temps a little lower, as with summer arriving soon and ambient air temps increasing things are going to get much hotter.
    I'll be happy to share my result with the forum after ive managed to run the app as i think the more data available to users the better when looking for comparisons with similar hardware.

    Sorry it's been a while since I did anything spectacular with AMD overclocking, I have a 3900X with ASUS Crosshair VIII Hero mobo - I've been using Ryzen master and simply clocking all cores to 4.25ghz @ 1.21875v (Arctic Freezer 2 360 AiO cooling). So a couple of questions about Clocktuner (apologies for my lack of experience):

    1) Why would I use this over RM?
    2) Can you just save profiles?
    3) Anyone sharing profiles or settings for tweaking? (primarily the CPU, I've optimised the ram already using the authors other tool)

    Hello,

    New to using this software. I am running a 5900x.
    I ran a diagnostic with enhanced accuracy and also the Hybrid OC under the profiles section.
    I then ran tune and let it do its thing.

    Afterwards, however, the result was worse than default on cinebench.
    What did I do wrong? Was looking for better performance, not degraded performance :oops:
    I reset the config back to default and closed the software after that.

    Will probably try again at the weekend but was wondering if there were any steps I missed? Or should you not use accuracy mode or the hybrid OC?

    (This was with RC4)

    I've been testing CTR and in benchmarks it is noticeable that the cpu improves in power and temperature but in games it's a different matter.

    My goal was to have a similar power to normal but with less CPU temperature that reaches 71º and the voltage sometimes reaches 1.41V although it is usually at 1.38V doing heavy tasks.

    I have an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with a B550 Aorus Elite V2 motherboard with the BIOS all on auto.

    Using a CTR profile with 1.20V, 4225 Mhz on both CCX and MinCpu Usage 75%, I leave HWInfo64 in the background and testing with CPUZ, Cinebench R15 and R20, the CPU temperature drops 12º, the maximum Watts and Amps are lower except on CPU EDC which reaches the maximum, and the voltage of some cores goes up to 1.337V with LLC on auto. The improvement ranges from 0.97% to 2.54% in the tests.

    Running the F1 2019 test, the temperature drops 6º, but the maximum Watts and Amps go up and I get a 0.48% improvement over the default cpu configuration.

    Using CTR is it convenient to disable PBO in BIOS?
    Or do anything else?

    I ran CTR 2.4, did about an hours diagnostics. recommended p1 1259mv @ 4325mhz and p2 1350mv @ 4475mhz. Recommended undervolting is 1175mv @ 4200mhz. CPU is Golden sample
    Pressed Tune, did about 1.5 hours of stressing testing, started to have thread failures around 4475 1250hz.
    CTR then opened cinebench and ran the rendering and upon finishing this it promptly closed the window and nothing else happened. It didnt reopen CTR and i had no data to save in profiles when i ran the program again.
    have i done something wrong?

    Hello, can someone help please!
    I have r5 3600 with a asus x470 f-gaming, bios all auto, LLC 3, and other settings same as in the guide.

    My cpu is bronze sample and i can't beat 3950Mhz and 1.25V at 1 CCX. Idk what to do. For example this guy in video have also bronze cpu, but his recomended values is 1250/4125, when mines 1250/3900. And after Tune i have 3975/1250 CCX1 and 3950/1250 CCX2. Can someone help me or just explain whats wrong? Is it just that my cpu sample so bad?
    My specs:
    Cpu r5 3600 with lucifer v2
    corsair vengeance 3000cl15 (3466 cl16 oc)

    Also max temp in stress tests - 55 ℃.

    I couldn't find anything specific about CMD_REJECTED_PREREQUISITE. I uninstalled Gigabyte's EasyTune, and installed RyzenMaster (which installs, but won't run on a 4650). Is this a chipset (a520) issue, or something else? Thanks! Bios is AGESA 1.2.0.1
