Stupid question maybe but ... he recommends LLC3. Lowering would be like going to LLC2 or rather LLC4?

For anyone with similar issues, I had set my LLC at 4, then 3 because it is an ASUS motherboard.

However I got it working by lowering it to level 2. Figured this out after I forced the test to run at lower settings by setting the stock frequency and max frequency at 3800 and 4000.

This is what happened for me, I just got the BSOD after starting the overclocking. Not really sure what to do :(

    My setup
    R9 3900X
32GB 3600mhz - XMP enabled (and disabled still causes crashing)
    Corsair RM850X
    MSI X570 Gaming Plus
    Corsair H115i AIO

    Edit 2/

So I reset everything in the BIOS and tried again with XMP off and it actually got further than I have before, I but I still got a crash, this is the logs for this one:

How does the Autoload profile with OS option works? Can I delete CTR after enabling that? How about moving it to another folder? Can I set the settings in the BIOS?
    Otherwise pretty cool tool, thanks!

Very promising tool. Thank you for working on this. Is this thread the correct place to submit feedback on the tool?
I tested it on a fresh Windows install with a 3950X, a TUF X570-Plus, 3200CL14 RAM at stock (XMP) and a 360mm AIO with Noctua fans. LLC level was set to 3, and other VRM settings were left on their default values. First attempt was done without changing any of the default values, just clicking "Diagnostic" and then "Start". This resulted in an unstable overclock that couldn't finish a Cinebench run.
Then, I tried it a second time, increasing the test cycle to 360 and settings the CPU limits to 300/200/200 (what I use on PBO). This resulted in an overclock that could pass Cinebench and gave me ~9770 points. However, this overclock was completely unstable in stress tests (failed Prime95 Small FFTs in < 5 seconds).

The recommended clock settings were ~100mhz higher than what I got stable by overclocking manually. Maybe the stress testing by CTR was too light? I saw there was a config set to "AVX Light" but I couldn't change it.
Question: would it be OK to just set the suggested configuration manually on the BIOS after it's done? So the overclock would be carried over whatever OS you're booting.

Overall, I find this tool very handy! It'll be a huge time saver once it gets more tuning. If there's a proper channel to submit feedback, or if the author would like me to test something else, please let me know.

I think on ASUS lower LLC is going down with the number, so LLC2.
You can check by yourself cause CTR is reporting the vDroop percentage delta.
Let's say, keeping the same voltage, tells you +1% and with LLC2 +2% then it's lowering LLC, more Vdroop.
If with LLC4 the percentage changes to -1% then it's higher LLC, less Vdroop.

Able to run full diagnostic, but whenever I run 'Start' after a while when the MHz is reaching around 4400 the computer just shuts down.
    Any ideas what to do?

Exact same issue to me, check my post above, runs for quite a while then just shuts down, I'm a bit disappointed as I'm not sure how to resolve it.

I take it 3950x no "additional tweaks" means no diagnostic mode ?
I also had a weird issue I think from running 2 CTRS at once by accident.
It set all cores to 4050mhz including CCX5-8 which I dont have.
When I try to delete them the program crashes.

That's what I did and on my 3900x I was getting 4550 on two CCX's and the other two weaker ones were at 4375. I'm not on that computer right now but I remember it doing about 8k cinebench r20 pulling like 1.31V under load. I did follow the guide and had my ram at only 3200mhz so I need to test again today after work with it back up to 3800mhz.

I'm running a asrock taichi x570 and man the guild was right it is wacky with how it handles the LLC.

I got it on level 2 and it usually says it needs more LLC with a 2.5% given but sometimes it says like -50% turn down the LLC so definitely not perfect. I need to play with the program some more but it seems to be a nice alternative to the EDC=1 bug that generated a lot of heat for me when not even playing games. I am liking the program so far but it could use some refinements and tweaks...

My first post on Guru3D :)

I had the same problem on my 3900X on a ASUS TUF B450 yesterday.

When I pressed Start, CTR kept increasing the clock for 25 mins or so until the system crashed.

No errors were reported, as if Prime95 didnt report back the errors to CTR.

Today I tried again, but this time I started Ryzen Master, and left it open in the background, as well as I ran CTR as administrator. And now it worked fine.

With a core voltage set to 1.225V I ended up with these clocks:

    upload_2020-9-30_15-43-28.png

Which gives me about 75 degrees celcius under longer heavy loads, which was what I was aiming for.

I'm quite satisfied, as these clocks are higher than my normal full load boosts at stock, with lower core voltage and temperatures.

My 3900X is reported to be a Silver sample.

    ended up with 1.25V and cores 4375 - 4375 - 4300 - 4300, it can do 4400 - 4400 - 4325 - 4325 but no significant gain...

But what's intereseting, I know it hits limit and when. 4350 on CCX3 and CCX4 is where it hits the limit and my pc resets, kinda stupid it does that, or the tool is not yet optimized properly. It puts starting freq at 4125 and end one at 4600, but let's get serious, no way it can hit 4600 on all cores or at least one for sustained load... But I feel that it can be improved a little bit

    CB default - 6861
    CB tuned - 7575

3700X silver sample in combination with Gigabyte X570 Elite. Results after the first run:

    Default: 4651 (1.253V - PPT 88)
    Tuned: 5023 (1.275V - PPT 96.8)

I'm not feeling like I should try to push the PPT any further. Maybe going to try an undervolt.

What ever I try my PC trips power and hard resets during the 'Start' phase of the process.
Diagnostics runs ok, CD20 runs ok at the start of step two but always restarts the PC at some point in the testing after that.

Tried loads of different BIOS settings, manual mem, XMP mem, 3200Mhz mem with auto timings, different LLC etc etc.

I just ran the diagnostic on my 3600x and was wondering why does it think 0.5% vdroop is bad but 1% is ok? With 0.5% I was told to lower llc.
