    The problem may be related to weak VRM or BIOS (it depends on the motherboard manufacturer).


    This means that the BIOS version is too old. But anyway don't worry, 1.55 won't hurt the processor as all the processes were stopped instantly.

    –°ritical problem if the processor has 4 or more CCX. Your processor has 2 of them.

    Thanks for answering. Will comb through it again.

    Edit: I saw on 1usmus' Twitter page that to correct the Core Tag error the System Log needs to be cleared and the system rebooted. That had no effect. The Core Tag message remains.

    Will wait for the next update to try again.

    So far I cannot run this at all, and I have literally not seen anyone with this issue yet:

    Thank you for the reply sir! I know you are quite busy with this release, I appreciate it.

    My account is set up as an administrator, but I am using a microsoft account to log in rather than a local account, could that be the issue? Also, can you explain why it seems to be working on reboot rather than cold boot?

    Man this worked wonders on my Aorus Xtreme X570 setup and 3900X! Another story on my tRX40 Aorus Xtreme as the program will not run. Pops up on task manager and just as quickly disappears.

    Have everything up to date and installed just as I did on my baby system before attempting on my big one.

    Scanning through the thread I see there are some with issues as well. Just wonder if it is a particular setup through windows hitching something from working out. I know I can't use my RAMDisk software with my threadripper, but it works just fine on my X570 system. Not sure why and how since both systems run the same OS and are up to date to the same everything...

    These results are with LLC 2. It did much better under LLC 3, but gave me warnings during stress testing.

    What makes me worry is that some cores display VID of 1.55 V pretty frequently in HWinfo when not all cores are under full load. Is this safe? Or is the reading incorrect? The weird thing is that some other cores display VID of 0 V which is obviously incorrect...
    Great job with CTR, though.

    He's telling you to update your bios and try again.
    He doesnt want to debug problems that are probably already solved.
    If you still have issues its something he will take interest in.

    I have updated the x570 AORUS Master bios to the latest version in between Beta 1 and Beta 2.
    Was expecting same or better due to the new AGESA and SMU but it's much worse.
    Can't keep the same 4400 all-core OC like before.
    Only consolation is that now the Diagnostics are working fine...

    So CTR seems to work pretty nicely for my MSI B550/3900X, however I've noticed after the computer goes to sleep (suspend to RAM), it then reverts to stock clocks once it wakes up. I need to re-launch CTR, and then edit/re-apply my profile in order to get it working again. Is there a way around this issue? Should I consider just manual overclocking in BIOS with the CTR values perhaps? Thanks for any tips!

    How did you get CTR working on the Aorus Master x570? Do anything special? It's not working with BIOS F30a and F30, beta1 and beta2 the same. Keeps saying I need to update my BIOS.

    Both working, only in Beta 1 with bios F12a the Diagnostics was failing and setting crazy values for the ref clock.
    Didn't do anything special other than setting the relevant bios options as suggested by the guide.
    And testing OC with a positive offset.

    This is the diagnostics results (+0.04v offset) but I don't see anything that could be helpful.

    I have good results, but I know this is a dumb question but, how I save the profile? I apply the profile all good but when I restart the computer I need to run all the process again.

    The OC my 3950x was given uses way too low of a voltage, how would I go about letting it run the test with a higher voltage? The current reference voltage is 1206, so can I just raise this to say 1225? I know my cpu can't get to 4300+ with that low of a voltage.
