When the new laptop cpus are twice as fast as your desktop cpu in singlethread performance... xD

Will be upgrading to a 11900k in a few months though... will be a massive upgrade at this point, even if the gpu is actually still the bottleneck in all games at 4k.

I am back after being away for a few years. In the mean time i have made a new build with a Ryzen 5 5600X and Ryzen 5950X and bofh cpu´s are aircooled. 5600X does not show any high score as it is limited by the low profile cooler used.

    A few quick system spec
    5600X/5950X aircooled
    Asus B550 and X570 motherboard
    G.skill Trident Z royal silver/gold 3600 MHz CL14-15-15-35 (2 x 16 GB and 4 x 8 GB modules so 32 GB from each kit)

    5600X stock
    [IMG]

5600X with PBO on but limited by cooling.

    5950X stock
    [IMG]

5950X with PBO +200 mhz. Curve optimizer or off set not used.

5950X PBO fine tuned for highest boost clock possible and combined with a manuel all core oc to 4.65 GHz on all 16 cores with Asus Dynamic oc switch. Curve optimizer og off set not used. I exspect i can cram a little bit better single core score out of it yet. multi core not much as i am limited here by aircooling at 4.65 GHz all core oc at 1.375 volts.

    Hey peeps.
Ran it a few times since finishing the build, jumping back into GTA5 was so smooth, i got sucked back in after 2 months of no gaming.
Everything is at stock, haven't touched anything to do with overclocking, only enabled DOCP for the memory.
The performance at 1080p is fantastic as it is.

+200mhz pbo and 4600mt/s ddr4 using the Stock cooler, under most workloads it pretty much sits at 4650mhz on all the cores except with p95 where it thermally throttles, the stock cooler is basically overkill for these apu chips.

Not bad for a gaming CPU with a $30 cooler and mediocre memory!
