@V@IO: your i5-3570K gets normal but excellent because you're faster than my i5-2500K@4.5GHz. :)

    @V@IO and @-Tj-:
i7 = HT support while i5 = no HT support. For gaming, i5-2000,-3000 and -4000 have very good/excellent single core performances. :)

    My 2500K@5.3GHz

Not bad for a 3 year old cpu...but it's starting to show its age :)

Because that is the CPU base clock...5.3 is the turbo speed.

Just finally got my new EK Supremacy waterblock and new EK bay res D5 combo, so just for start, I7 4930K @4.7ghz. ( 16gb 2133mhz C9 )..

    CPU batch ( 4,5ghz 1,22Vcore ); L3337C092 E4 ( malay fundry series )
    ( second reference score of the 4930K: 1207 = 4.5ghz )

nice one, it seems that chip is slightly above average.

Nice low voltage for 4.5 GHz
My 4960X needs 1.23 vcore for 4.5 GHz

Not so much above average, 5ghz will require some juice..i have seen after 4.9ghz, the vcore need is way higher of what i was expect.. i will definitively class it in the average group in term of batch... not a bad batch.. but not a golden chips too. ( i need conduct more test, the x79 deluxe bios are pretty new, and i was not use PLL overvoltage and voltage settings ).

This type of batch are pretty new, i have seen most I7 4930-4960x are coming from Costa Rica... and end on the 332b ( the most common batch ), this ones batch seems to pretty new ( 3337C and all finish by the " E4" )... we need more result from the malaysia fundry for get a larger idea of their binning quality.

Performance aside, im really glad of the work of Ek on their last waterblock on 2011 sockets... sadly the full nickel block was not available, and so i have need order this one. But well i dont think i loose so much performance in term of delta T ( water / air ) .

Note, im a bit worry about the D5 combo res bay.. i can feel the vibration of the pump when i put my hand on the reservoir.. the pump should bring a lot of energy ( so heat ) to the water this way.. ( but it is extremely practicable in use to dont have a pump, a separate reservoir, you remove 2 tubes from the loop and just connect the gpu's and the cpu, rad to the pump combo bay ).. Anyway, its a 24V vario D5.. and my system will be stable with it even at 30% of his power, so i can adapt the speed of the pump to the thermal transfer ) ..

The most funny is with this cpu, i can replace my 2 xeon workstations at work from the same series ( with lower clock ), on my autocad 3d render.. ( but it cant beat our farm of CPU we use for our renderer anyway )

My 4960X dies out at 4.8 GHz with 1.45 vcore, 4.9 needs a lot more and suzero temps I think

Is that 4.5ghz by both, including cache multi? :nerd:

This is what I get atm at 4.5ghz, cache 4.2ghz, ram 2400mhz; gpu stock freq.

edit: managed to squeeze extra 4 points by multi and 1 point by single
    [IMG]

    This did the trick
vccsa (for ram oc 2133>2400) from 0.025 to 0.030v+ offset
