R15 renders a different scene, a simpler/faster render. For that reason alone, it's interesting to benchmark it. Results are not comparable to R20. You run the older version for the same reason you run the new one, to compare scores. Cinebench periodically makes a new version usually when current CPU's finish too quickly, or to incorporate newer instruction sets. People still run the version before R15 as well, R11.5. https://hwbot.org/benchmark/cinebench_-_r11.5/

well you ran win10 on haswell and then win7 on alderkale, so it's not really comparable. And what do you get in win10 with that 12700?
Yeah but in 2017, my current GTX 980 Ti SC+ was bit/little slower than GTX 780 Ti Classy running W7 and my old i7-4790K - very likely. But my screenshot: - 363.35 fps ADDED: I can improve to 365.56 fps (!?!! ) at 2nd try!! With MSI Afterburner monitoring: GPU usages: minimum 54% at 322fps and average ~75%
I mean what is 12700Kf score in windows 10? I havent used windows 7 since forever lol With 11700Kf 5ghz I get ~ 300fps in win10 21H2, old 10500 @4.3ghz had ~ 190fps using newer 470+ drivers
Thank you. I've Win 10 21H2 and W7 x64 SP1 with all lastest updates. I remember your old 4770K. But was this old CPU dead? I get still ZERO CPU dead (my old Pentium D 820 (1st time - overclock but bit time - especially ), C2D E6600, AMD Phenom x6 1055T, Intel Core i5-2500K and i7-4790K).
Remarkable. I didn't even know you could run Win 7 on Alderlake, let alone there'd be advantages to doing so. Spoiler: Mobile Alderlake, Cinebench R23
Yeah. You can't install Win7 because you find hardly USB 3.0 drivers modded or modify hardly original USB 3.0 drivers. @-Tj-: The difference of CPU scores (single- and multi-core) between Win7 and Win10 is none on Alder Lake.
This may be noob-ish but it that because of the 2.0 headers? and what you guys are referring to about the 3.0 ones? God it has been so long since I had to think about this stuff...
I've installed well AMD USB 3.0 drivers for W7 on MSI PRO Z690-A D4. You try to install this drivers if you can work or not.
Correct. @guys: My 12700KF@5.2 + GPU EVGA GF GTX 980 Ti SC+@ stock get WINNER - 1st on OpenGL score on Cinebench R15 running Win7!! eheheheh!
That's funny. So you get everything working except DX12 pretty much yeah? All additional drivers too? I might try this on my second nvme...
Not funny. My best OpenGL score is on Guru3D. I try to search the fastest OpenGL of Cinebench R15 in world... but we may not find this (HWBOT website doesn't exist this yet, unfortunately).
I guess my only concern would be is MS still releasing security patches for the OS as I wouldn’t want to use it for production if that wasn’t the case.
Yeah. First you need Win10 to enable ransomware's protection to check if the filename with the extension "exe" is true or fake before run on Win7.
