There seems to have been a brief mishap with Youtube not being available in its new design on Chromium Edge, but everything seems to have gone back to normal. Wonder who was trying what...

Yeah it was old youtube for a day or so. I missed the dark theme but the old responsive site was welcome!

Google is continuing ahead with their sabotage of adblockers except for enterprise users. I hope chromium edge works around it or else I'll just delete it and use brave as a chromium browser.

So done with chrome, between the things just acting wonkey lately and well then THAT news, back to FF for me. It had a good run though and served me well for a long time. RIP

Switched to Edge Chromium today as Chrome started acting up.

    All works fine now.

I just hope Microsoft isn't going to disable adblockers.

I'm still using Edge (dev) as my main driver on all my PC's - work / home / laptop. Love it.

Some good news for an upcoming feature.
Tested it on Canary version, works great.

Also some of the flags I'm using:
    Code:
    go to edge://flags/

    #ignore-gpu-denylist
    #smooth-scrolling
    #enable-gpu-rasterization
    #enable-oop-rasterization
    #enable-lazy-image-loading
    #enable-lazy-frame-loading

The latest build of Edge Chromium as of today 78.0.254.0 is not loading any websites or me. I don't know what happened, but I'm wondering if an update broke it. Chrome and regular Microsoft Edge work just fine.

    Version 78.0.256.0 resolves this.

LOL well too late now. I uninstalled canary and downloaded the developer build instead. For a primary browser, the canary build is too unstable; although to be honest, I never really had many problems with it other than this last one.

No idea. I wonder if it could have been triggered by using sleep mode? I remember my computer was sleeping before Edge chromium went kaput.

Odd, never had the above-mentioned issue. I'm running Dev channel on both home/work PC's.

Really liking the smooth scrolling in Chromium Edge after this last update on the dev version! It's not as smooth as Edge HTML was yet, but it's very close.

If anyone is still on Chrome, I don't know what to tell you. Desktop Chrome is a 600 lb hog compared to Edge Chromium. I only use the mobile version of Chrome now, as I like the Google integration. But on desktop, it's Edge Chromium all the way.

This browser is shaping up quite nicely. So far I've had not, any issues with it (considering it's a beta), although Iridium for Youtube seems to no longer work (it hasn't been updated in a long time, so it's mostly a dead project).

The reason why I still use Chrome for mobile is specifically due to the deep Google service integration, much of which I use and enjoy. I'm less concerned about privacy and what not on mobile. Privacy is a foregone notion in a world of smartphones and digital information.

Some tweaks (tested in the latest canary (80.0.320.0)

Extention menu like firefox in the toolbar.
It is kinda stupid to have it the Chrome way, have your extention button in the toolbar or menu. So this adds a extention button in the toolbar where all extentions are listed. (just like in Firefox)
    1. Right-click on Microsoft Edge in the Start Menu or taskbar, and select Properties. You may right-click a second time on the taskbar on the Microsoft Edge entry in the menu that opens before you may select Properties.
    2. Switch to the Shortcut tab if it is not active by default.
    3. Append --enable-features=ExtensionsToolbarMenu after the path in the Target field, and make sure there is a space between the end of the path and the parameter.
    4. Select ok to save the selection.
    5. Restart Microsoft Edge.

Dark mode for websites (that are not dark already)
To switch to Dark Mode on Windows 10, go to Settings > Personalization > Colors and switch from Light to Dark there.
    1. Load edge://flags in the browser's address bar.
    2. Search for dark; this should return the flag Force Dark Mode for Web Contents.
    3. Set the flag to Enabled. Note that Enabled sets the feature to the default. You may pick any of the other dark mode algorithms provided to test which one works best for you.
    4. Restart the Microsoft Edge web browser.

For some reason it crashes on startup without an error all of sudden.

It was working fine an hour ago.

I'm still running the Dev Build.

Installed Beta instead, but this keeps nagging me about Developer Mode, which i have enabled for a Twitch Extension.

Any way to make it stop nagging me everytime i launch the browser?

Love the dark mode option, however, any way to control it thou? I would like to enable it on some, instead of Global for all.
