Has anyone tried it yet? I'm using it right now, and so far, I really like it. It's like a combination of the best of Google Chrome and the old Microsoft Edge. For instance, Chrome's scrolling speed and smoothness has always been a sore point for me, and that's one of the reasons why I used Microsoft Edge in the past because of how smooth and fluid it was.

However, it appears that Microsoft has fully transferred that capability over to the new Microsft Edge, because the scroll speed on this new browser is incredibly smooth and fluid. As for rendering speed, it seems to be equivalent to the latest version of Chrome (if not a bit quicker), and that's saying a lot. Also, it should automatically import your favorites, passwords and bookmarks from Chrome, and log into your Microsoft account if you have one.

I was really a bit hesitant about Microsoft abandoning EdgeHTML in favor of Chromium, but now after actually using the new browser, I think they made the right decision.

If anyone wants to try the new browser, you can download version 75.0.111.0 from Softpedia HERE.

Benched it with basemark, it came out faster than Chrome / Firefox.

Yeah it wouldn't surprise me. It is awfully snappy! I can't wait to see the final product. It really needs a dark mode, and the cache cleaning doesn't work. Other than that, it's very fast and very stable.

MS chaps are also working to improve Chromium scrolling performance which is a nice thing to see. It could very well end up being better than Chrome.

    Seems edge://flags/ also works.

Not really added much, though i doubt if they are open to things. theming through css would make it very popular.

I want a reader mode and a toggle for dark theme. I know the latter exists because I've seen screenshots but I'll wait for an official release. So far it's alright. It's chromium. I'll continue using vivaldi for the forseeable future but I'm open to using this if it stays win32 because I can sync with my iphone then.

Sync seems to give me an error, other than that everything works just fine. Really smooth and speed is on par with Brave.

MS Edge Insider works better than MS Edge that came with Windows 10.

Of course, it's Win32 and using Chromium instead of MS UWP rubbish

    To enable Dark Theme:
go to edge://flags/ and find " Microsoft Edge theme ", set as Enable.
