I hope some of the HUD elements can be turned off. It's starting to look like a game from Ubisoft (the stealth meters, etc)...
Don't know how I missed this thread. This looks great. I tried replaying the Stalker series again recently but it was may more clunky than I remember.. and full of game-breaking bugs. This really does give me Stalker and Metro vibes. It sounds like you tried a demo or something.. or are you talking about the trailers? Just curious Agreed. I wish all games came with this feature. The newest Tomb Raider (Shadow of) is quickly becoming my favorite Tomb Raider game due to me being able to play it on a hardcore mode that disables a lot of the modern hand-holding stuff. It even disables the marks on ledges that you can grab on that clearly tell you where to go. You have to think for yourself and take chances. I really want that to be the norm in games where they give players who want a hardcore/classic style of gameplay the option to toggle it. Stealth meters and indicators showing that you are about to be caught are especially huge hand holders that really ruin the game play for me.
Oh.. sorry, I misread that. And yeah.. that game is very clunky. I heard that it was supposed to be a lot more than it was but they scraped a lot of the ideas out of it. I really like the photogrammetry and some of the audio, but otherwise it was very meh.
It's like F.E.A.R. in the Chernobyl wastes as opposed to Auburn California? I can't tell if I'm down yet.
I'm not sure what to think of all the Ubisoft HUD elements... I hope this won't be a Far Cry game, only in the Zone.
I'm excited for it, but... also a bit cautious. The gameplay demo (I know, it's pre-alpha) looked really rough. I'm hoping for the best, but, preparing for some form of disappointment.
I like what i see with this so far! And the story kinda grabs my interest. I could see buying it possibly
My thoughts too, also the whole thing was somehow inconsistent and, well... janky. Dominant feeling after watching that vid was "what the hell just happened"
Yeah, I was thinking about backing it on Kickstarter, but after watching a gameplay demo. I decided I'd rather wait.
following this one. looks way too early for a purchase, seems to be very atmospheric but game-play looks very clunky.
