I have a Intel Centrino 2.26ghz CPU in my laptop and I was wondering if there is away to turn off the throttling so the CPU stays at 2.26. i know hte cpu only uses what it has to and changes speed by that. Sometimes i can see that it changes to a slower speed and right back up to 2.26 again. any help i get thank you for it.

no the bios has 2 settings for that. 1 is power mangement if you disable that my CPU never goes over 800mhz. other is CPU performance it is set to auto which makes it so you ahve performance and battery life. i set it to max which is the only other setting it says it will give the most battery life i can get. I just want a program that i can run in windows that makes it so it stays at 2.26.
