    Hello fellas :D

say now, why can't I burn my CDR's in 2x or 4x modes? the minimum speed nero lets me burn data is 12x, which is a handfull for my car stereo to handle...

    ;(

could it be the discs? i tried several kinds.

could it be the burner? or a nero setting?

    it really bothers me.

    I am using a philips DVD-RW.... (trying to burn a data cd-r)

your help will be muchhhh appreciated.

Dang that sucks isn't it? my pilot radio-disc specifies that it's best to burn 2-4x cd-rs to run in it :(

well, any tips about burning for a car stereo? its an mp3 cd...

the pilot manages to play the 12x cds but there are interferences sometimes

You can change your firmware on your writer.I use OMNIPATCHER and customize my firmware to burn at any speed i want with any media.

    Sounds tricky.
I'm always a bit scared of changing hardware stuff....

ill try and look up a friendly manual for that omnipatcher

    thanks man!

EDIT ::: from what i can see @ Google, omni patcher is for liteon.... i have a philips dvdr, any tools that are equivalent to liteon there?

If your burner and media is good enough, burning at 2x-4x is pointless. If your car audio sucks at reading, buy some high-grade media (Verbatim has the best CD-R's) and burn them at 12x. If that doesn't work, I'm afraid it's time you get a new car audio.
