Bought it months ago, i knew launch would be a sh*t show... an open world game as big as this one, no one should be susprised. On top of that they wanted to launch on 5 platforms at the same time ( lol ).

I'll give them 2-3 months before playing it... meanwhile i might be lucky enough to buy a 3080 lol

Why do people even pre-order digital goods these days?

Afraid the key generator runs out of combinations?

Bought mine a couple of weeks ago, the game sure is buggy, but I'm not planning on asking a refund.
Although I did think the last delay made them look unprofessional, it is my opinion that their level of respect for games is above average compared to the competition.
And since I really enjoyed the Witcher 3, I think they deserve my support.

    This isn't a pre-order issue?

Well it is not like this is a common issues with pre-ordered games in todays gaming industry, i mean when was the last time you heard of a people complaining loudly about a game they threw money at unseen and untested only for them to then receieve a broken unfinished product. :p

This is why i respect the capcom decision to drop the support for last gen consoles RE8. Sometimes does just not work.

A lot of games have pre-orders with bonuses such as Beta access, "Deluxe" packages with collectable stuff etc.

Imagine if Super Mario 64 had been expected to work on the previous gen console. (1st example that came to mind, I'm sure someone can think of better)
Trying to make games which are pushing the limit of todays hardware work on old consoles is gimping progression for all of us gamers.

It goes both ways though. Sure cutting last gen would allow them to put more effort into optimizations fixing all the graphical glitches but at the same time they will make less money. Yes it backfired for them here if they are offering refunds. In the future the game will be patched, and they will sell even more copies.
I am all for focusing on the latest and greatest don't get me wrong.

There is nothing wrong with performance of the PC version... It's a demanding game just like Crysis was back in the day. For the first time in 10 years people with top GFX cards need to turn the odd setting down, that's called future proofing and makes it fun to revisit the game further down the line when hardware has improved!!

The console version though.. Yea, they should have worked a bit more on that before release, or not released it on PS4/Xbox One at all and directed their efforts to next gen. On the flip side though, GTA 5 was like this on the PS3 and there was no storm about it, people just don't accept it nowadays

Performance is fine here but so many graphical bugs and weird behaviour.

It's the most ambitious game we've seen yet. It's frankly amazing that 99% of it works quite well.

People with old consoles and older PC gear finally have a proper reason to upgrade. The future is here and it's called Cyberpunk.

Though its not right, what games do not release in a crappy state out the door these days. I would argue its more rare these days that a game releases in a great state. Honestly if you don't want a buggy game don't buy it until its been out for 3 months or more. Honestly if you can force yourself to be patient the best way to buy games these days is wait for it to get to its first sale which is normally around 33% or second sale when they normally slash to 50% off. It cracks me up this game wont even run a consistent 60+ FPS on a 3090 with Ultra Ray Tracing settings on my 3840x1600 monitor which is not even full UHD.

It's not EA we're talking about, they will fix and polish the game. I'd say they'd release DLC too first before calling it quits. 2021 will be a long year of fixing and eventually the game will be a masterpiece.
