    Hey guys,

I encountered a new problem with the CCC.

In the 12.5 and 12.6 Beta I noticed that my applied game profiles (like Crossfire disabled for Skyrim) have no effect. It says "there is already a profile, do you want to overwrite it blabla" and I click "yes" of course. It is also listed in the Profile Section.

Just when I start the game, I get the notorious Crossfire flickering and AfterBurner shows me 80% load on both cards.

I thought it was only an issue with the beta drivers, but today I rolled back to 12.1, since I wanted to play a bit more Bad Company 2, and guess what? Same issue with the profiles.

Other than that the CCC is working flawlessy!

    Any ideas?

    reset CCC to defaults?

the 'application profiles' section of CCC correctly lists all the settings you put for the game?

run atiapfxx.exe from C:\Program Files (x86)\ATI Technologies\Application Profiles\ & generate an xml of your profiles (atiapfxx -r -user -s CCCprofiles.xml), take a look at the xml to see if CF is disabled on the game (<value Property="CFM">0</value>)

maybe you could reset all your profiles (delete them), delete C:\Users\#YOU#\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE\APL\User.blb just in case if it's still there, & start from scratch

Thanks a lot kn00tcn, by deleting the User.blb file I was able to get the profiles working in almost every game.

Only Skyrim refuses to let me disable Crossfire! haha

I generated the xml, and in Skyrim stands

see if some of the other options are working, like AI or AF, AA, etc

Just tested, nothing works at all. Tried 16x SuperSampling and 16x AF, had no effect at all. It's as if Skyrim ignored the profile entirely :bang:

My profile dropdown in CCC does not contain any items.

i was under the impression the CAPs were supposed to populate that list

has anyone figure out how to fix this?

could be a UAC setting, or a .NET/vc++ mishap based on what you have installed, or an app like an antivirus interfering

your windows is english-US & user account is regular letters?

i want to know how it populates myself, since it doesnt list every profile in existence, only a smaller set

you could probably do a manual way of making CCC profiles to load an existing game, you'd have to generate a custom profile, convert it to xml, manually write in the amd game profile you want to use, convert back into blb, maybe it will work....

UAC is disabled, i use MSE which interferres with nothing, and all .NET, and VC have been fully updated.

Windows is U.S., English, Ultimate, Full Retail.

    User name is ME.

Id prefer not to get them in there manually.

Uninstall application profiles using CIM. Worked for me.

I also have never seen a populated profile list, I have always had to make them manually. On a separate issue, I can't get max payne 3 to vsync at all. Forcing it in CCC does nothing in game. =o\

I tried this and it didn't work for me. Also tried reinstalling the caps and they still don't show up.

oh nvm I thought you meant user defined profiles...the predefined ones installed with the caps don't show up.

as per microsoft spec, the CCC vsync usually works on opengl games as expected

use d3doverrider instead, but doesnt the game have an option?

Did you try editing it here:

    Code:
    <profile Area="UDX" Usage="Skyrim" Notes="Skyrim">
                <value Property="Version">3</value>
                <value Property="CrossfireProf">True</value>
                <value Property="ForcedAA">False</value>
                <value Property="VamEnable">True</value>
                <value Property="Alias">AFR-FriendlyD3D.exe</value>
                <value Property="MaxGPUs">2</value>
                <value Property="CPDMABltVBThre">256</value>
                <value Property="NobroadcastVB">True</value>
                <value Property="SkipDrawOpt">True</value>

Is it possible that I forced Crossfire in Skyrim by editing every "EnableCrossFireAutoLink" to 1 in the registry?
