    This is Steve's Ballmer nightmare came true.
    The cancer, the pest that he so vehemently opposed now It is a part of Microsoft. Their own distro, who would foretold.

    Ballmer walked back that comment a few years ago.

    Either way crap changes - people change, companies definitely change, especially when new leadership comes in. Microsoft has had some rough patches but I think Satya is a good leader for the company and I like a lot of the more recent decisions they are making. The recent embrace of linux is one of these and I think having their own distro will allow their azure services to be more compatible with linux as a whole. I like it and I think it's a good decision.

    microsoft has always been a top contributor to the linux kernel for a few years.
