i call BS on that russian sites reviews, it puts the 6950 slower than the 5870 in places at the lowest resolution, in fact overall at the lowest resolutions they perform like crap. I seriously doubt ATI woul release a card that performs about 10% higher across the board on the 5870, it just doesnt make sense at all. Either the card is a dog, they were tested with crap drivers or ATI has made a serious mistake( which i doubt as the delay was to up the clock speeds and get the drivers right ).

Either way ive ordered one :)

Congrats on you new card! We need some user reviews.

At low resolution any card will do. 5850/5870/6850/6870 will handle pretty much every game with enough fps. Cards start to shine on higher resolution.

To me, as far as the cards stack up vs the competition, its basically a repeat of the 48xx series vs G200, performance and pricing wise.

yeah, from the looks of it, GT280/260 vs 4870/4850 again..

I can relax now lol...my only goal was to buy a midrange card with a performance close to previous generation's high end and thats what the 570 provided for me :)

Only reason id be banging my head against the wall was if the 6970 was a lot cheaper and significantly faster :D nonetheless, whether you choose the GTX 5xx or the HD 69xx you do not lose out imo and it all boils down to personal preference

extreme high resoultions the 6970/6950 should be a better buy because of the extra vRAM..it shows that beyond 1920x1200 this advantage kicks in

:D yes I was 100% Spot On , my Sources deep in the Industry Do Not Lie to me never.
Heres what i said on ''12-10-2010''

" What can be seen cannot be unseen , guys Cayman HD6970-XT is ~30% faster than HD5870 and ~20% slower than 580GTX , those are real numbers and saw with my own eyes the benchmarks and clocks and the whole thing , and sorry i cannot tell you more , just believe what im saying its nothing but the truth and i have no need to lie ,im dissapointed in what i just saw a few minutes ago. Well 580GTX here i come :/ "

    and

'' I do not have the slighest idea where you came up with this answer ????? Eveybody that received their cards (Reviewers and Extreme Overclockers) have the final working cards with final Bios NOT betas , the same that its already shipping to e-tailers and re-tailers. There has never been a low-speed 6970xt and a fast 6970xt
Im deep in the industry and the Reviewers and Guys that got the cards for Reviews and testing and breaking World Records under Liquid Nitrogen are very dissapointed in the numbers , even overclocked , volt moded to hell and back it will never catch up with the 580GTX that its the thruth and have been done , the 6970XT volt mods are already floating around , well this will be my last words in here ,"""" the HD6970-XT will be up and against the 570GTX"""" , the trade blows in the benchmarks. HD5970 will remain the fastest card on the planet. Wait a few days and you will see for yourselfs , most of you know my background in the industry and for that i cannot say more , AMD wants tight lips because 6970XT will be slower than 580GTX thats all.

    Chispy Out. ''

Thats what i said here http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=330927&page=3 and I was not lying , Trolls were talking all kind of BS of a slow and a fast 6970XT and a magical driver or how the 6970xt will be so much faster than 580GTX LOLzzzzz thats all i have to say :giggle2:
and thats why i dont post so much anymore in here ;).

    Chispy Out.
