" IF" this driver exist, it can be a beta driver send to Sapphire for test, this driver can allow more perf ( if it's not pure bs ofc ), this don't mean the driver is fully stable and you don't want send a driver to reviewer who are crashing or not 100% stable or with missing features/profiles ..
are those 10.12? idk amd's internal numbering:nerd: well the guy with 6970ES received these 10.12 from amd yesterday, those at OCuk where 10.11.. So there is no doubt that the real reviewers got these final 10.12 too.
Great price on the 6950, £220 sounds a bargain, but still looks like a kick in the teeth for 6870 owners, but thats the risk you take with PC hardware. Nice to see GTX570 prices go down to around the £250-70 mark web-wide, seems to be as good a time as any to get a new GPU, just a pity this time is less than 2weeks before Christmas lol.
Already out in the UK: http://www.********************/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-026-HS (http://bit.ly/i6dX2x)
Pricing is very good indeed... impressive on ATI's part. The 6970 only needs to get close to GTX 580 performance to make it a good deal!
So 330€ for the 6970 and 250€ for the 6950? Not bad. The 6950 is starting to seem like a very sweet deal to me.
Olin, from I can gather, is talking out of his ass. If he was provided a card by AMD, then that article completely violates the NDA.
No one has mentioned a 6970 selling for 275€, but 6970's are on sale in the UK for £280, while 6950's are £220.
Anyone think its fishy that most of the hype for these cards came from OCUK, to the point that it was being linked to worldwide. The when the cards go on sale, and someone asks if its a good upgrade over a 5870, he says ignore my benchmarks and wait for the reviews:3eyes:
