This is the new Catalyst 11.4 @Link AMD hat noch mehr Hausaufgaben gemacht und bringt den Catalyst 11.4 mit ein paar optischen wie auch technischen Verbesserungen. Wie man jetzt sein System zusammenstellt (Vision), so nennt sich auch das Control Center. Eine Updatefunktion hält auch einzug, ich hoffe selbst das die Deinstallation auch verbessert wurde! Eine weite Funktion soll den Usern helfen ihr Eyefinity System aufzubauen und zu kontrollieren.
Maybe it becomes available somehow. I feel like WHQL slows the drivers down far too much at the time of new video card releases, anyway.

well does 11.3 support 6990 ? might be the reason why maybe they are dropping their hotfixes , and release previews instead
Doub't it, 11.3's would have been finished ages now. Just been thinking though, this 11.4 Preview, might just be for the 6990's, but then again, that wouldn't make sense would it
I'd certainly prefer if they released fresh non-WHQL drivers more frequently in times of hardware releases.
why not ? usually its a hotfix to support new cards, this time they call it a preview im more interested in what games are supported in this 11.4 preview driver. i hope it will include some recently released games (that people actually play!), not the ones of the future lol
Its got me totally baffled this, if these Preview drivers are going to be for all cards (which i can see, as they are not a hotfix, they are a Preview, and its hotfixes they release for a newly released card), then they've surely screwed their driver programme right up.

I should think the drivers will be uploaded within a few days anyway as the HD6990 is available to buy now so people who have the cards already might upload them. I would like to give them a try too on my ageing 4870X2 in my second PC system.
Yes, the "official" drivers that go through Windows Hardware Quality Labs certification... which takes time.
They could have just released a hotfix for the 6990, and not broke their driver programme, as the hotfixes don't have their Catalyst Versions done, so they could have been an 11.2 hotfix, makes no sense at all.
