There's no performance gain for my rig too(tried GTA IV and Warhead). I noticed something interesting for me; this is the first ati driver (except hotfix) for me that didn't required restart. Maybe GameX is right, this driver isn't the real deal.

    Sorry for poor English...

euh,GameX,why you don't leake them for all those people that have problems with cards in cf and all the other problems in the games, its easy to say,iv'e got them,i think all those people wait more then enough for a driver that hopefully let them play their games as it should be,in cf or not in cf.

I´m on Win 7 X64, and i don't want to go back to Vista. I´m having a decent, finally, experience on GTA IV with a mix of 8.12 and the 1.1 on WU.
Some feedback of these set on W7 would be very appreciated.

oeps, srry,i was wondering if ati fixes the driver issues,i stepped over to an gtx 295,till now no problems, but keeped following the 9.1 threads, because i owned 2 ati 4870 and had them in cf,but because it did not worked for me,i selled them, but was curious if they fixed it

With CCC 3D settings set to optimum / AA set manually to 8x edge detect and all other tweaks then manually maxed and applied, I just got 11759 in PC Mark Vantage (not 3D Mark). This is 500+ points > my best prior scores with similar system settings.

The driver I used (8.573) came from Dougz 100mb 9.1 thread / vista x64. I checked these drivers despite obvious gaming improvements with the CCC setup as above for performance after KS's baiting that these were probably not legitimate 9.1 drivers. If they are not they are still the best drivers for a sysyem like mine to date.

    Thanx Dougz

People using crossfire or x2 cards should rename the executable to godfather.exe to get a huge boost in performance.
The included ati profile for this game is crap. If i reached this conclusion why not ATI?

Hmmm Great scaling for CrossfireX in Left4Dead , Bad performance and Glitches in farCry2 :( ,dead sapce looks and feel better and more FPS :) , so far only FarCry2 was a step backwards. Im using vista x32bit for testing. I will report on NFS Undercover and Grid next.

It seems from a few sources that the 8.57's were going to be the 9.1's but ATI have decided to put 8.58's out instead hence the delay.

The leaked 9.1's that have been posted may not actually be the same as the officials. Don't quote me on it but something unusual is happening for the drivers to be so late.

Dead space runs the same, it doesn't feel better or worse :) Can you use fraps and test the same scene without renaming the exe and then renaming.
I think you would be surprised :)

i can confirm that these 9.1s also include 10 new OpenGL extensions, but still not enough to bring it up to OpenGL 3.0 standards (still missing 4 or 5 extensions)

also noticed idle temps are around 20c higher...even with the fan on 100%..it used to sit on about 35-38c idle...now its between 49-51c :/

I installed the 8.573 drivers from techpowerup and can also confirm all but 5 opengl 3.0 extensions are supported. Didn't have any issues so far (1x4870 512 MB), but haven't really tested. Still no official amd links... Could be that this isn't the one, but still strange they had it signed by MS...

We don't need a hundred different threads for one set of drivers.
