ATI Catalyst 8.7 Beta XP 32|64-bit
ATI Catalyst 8.7 Beta Vista 32|64-bit
I'm hoping to see PowerPlay in Cat 8.7. And some performance boost
Anyone tried em yet???
Hm...I'd guess that's a no...?
Gave them a shot, but the only unresolved issues for me are with X-Wing Alliance on my 3870 <-----
Seems every ATI board in the HD series won't run XWA for some damn reason, yet the latest NV boards do...The game does seem to run, but the video end crashes endlessly due to some f*cked up driver change that ATI did not pay attention to when making the HD-series drivers...
I'll have to give that a go, I played that game right through to the end Years ago, took me about 30 attempts to complete the Death star run. A good game in its day, shame they haven't done a new one with Graphics to take advantage of modern video cards.
I take it You've tried Win 95 or Win98 comapibility mode, if it supports 3dfx try a glide wrapper.
Anyone tryed on the 4800 series?
yup no joy on vista 64 says driver ini not found
Works fine on Vista64 here?! ATI 4850.
Work fine on Vista 64.
works fine vista 64
It´s works very nice in Vista 32bit too...
These drivers are very nice.
Work fine on 1900xt in xp.
Not tested in vista.
Grid runs better, Opengl is fixed.
C'mon, anyone checked the PowerPlay feature with HD4800 series?
RejZor, I have not.
Post a report ticket towards support and driver team, wait for the response and explain your problem.
Btw, nV f*cked up Midtown Madness 2 above driver version 11.83, havent fixed it since. ^^
8.52 beta =\ ??
ha im just now getting back into the ATI world =] (4850) and are these older than the "hotfix" drivers for the 48xx cards???
im not having any problems at allllll with my drivers so far (two weeks into gaming)
increased my vantage score on my hd 4870 from 8448 to 8796 both ran on the same system with the hotfix and now this driver, cpu is e8400 running at 4.2ghz and gpu at 790/1100
These are dated 06-25 so should be newer than the hotfix.
I don't think so, the 48xx hotfix use the 8.501 catalyst driver which use the CCC 8.6, If this one is indeed 8.520 and using 8.7 then it will be newer than the 8.6 hotfix in driver version, also, i think the driver version contains string like 080621 which i guess its a time stamp(only guess work and no evidence support) for the driver so you might want to check it as well.
