Right, I played Warhead through with the 8.9's at 1680x1050 all enthusiast settings, no AA and got around 25-35 FPS. I did get the odd low into the teens but nothing unmanagable.

I've just tried Warhead with these and I'm still getting 25-35 fps but the frames seem more stable and I can apply 8xaa with NO penalty. It looks a different game!! I am going to have to play it through again now.......Shame......

I needed to turn texture streaming back on at those settings as I was getting a bit of hitching, but that cured that.

Awesome Crysis drivers for me so far, gonna test some more games.....

Wait, texture streaming? Tell me more kitch9.

This may not be related to this thread but I have been getting some hitching in my Bioshock game which I cannot fix, whats this texture streaming you speak of?

Its an ingame CVAR setting for Crysis. You can turn streaming textures on or off. Turning them on saves memory, so I presume less swapping of textures from VRam to Ram which saves on hitching.

Too bad new fan control doesn't have option to enable dynamic fan control (so you could manually edit the fan speed curve)... it's a good start though.

These drivers are good AA performers indeed. I have tried Crysis Warhead at 1440x900 all Enthusiast 2xAA and it was quite playable with a minimal performance drop. It remained playable even at 4xAA, but the frame rate would occasionally drop below 20 and therefore I preferred to stick to 2xAA. Stalker Clear Sky is definitely playable with 4xAA (or whatever the second position of the slider may mean).

Only difference I see is that CCC has fan control. Catalyst version are 08.9 not 08.10

hmmm I might give these a whirl hope they give me better performance in CSS, and TF2 that I have been getting around 100fps in both... when I was getting around 180fps on an 8800GTX.

These seem real promising. Is the idle bug fixed?

Indeed higher FPS in stalker Clearsky WITH AA enabled. Nice set. Stable so far, no problems encountered.
