My VRAM usage was sitting around 1700MB after a minute of playing according to the OSD. I turned textures down from high to medium and if certainly felt smoother (and VRAM usage went to about 1600mb). But I only have 1GB VRAM?

Out of curiosity - will the game use RAM for texture loading as well as VRAM?

but yu got also VRAM CACHE in RAM...so games can use more than physical vram...
guys i dont want to scream to soon but those drivers seem really excellent performance for 5850 in bfbc2 (better than 10.5a),..... waiting till 29. for open beta bf3 :)

Yea these drivers are pretty poor..

    1. ur right Rich the CCC Overdrive panel is crap
    2. my VDDC stays at stock volts now (1.175)
    3. still have flickering trees in Second Life
    4. stuttering is back in Second Life making these unusable
    5. i guess cuz of the VDDC my GPU is warmer than usual (idles @ 41c now instead of 37ish)

I modded in the 11.4 OGL files but i think im gona go back to some previous that was working fine before.

Still wana test BFBC2 first and as for BF3 i dont even know if im gona buy it right away.. i have F1 2011 coming tomorrow so we'll see how that goes.

Still no DX11 multithreaded rendering support it seems

Perhaps there is MTR support for BF3 only though, we will see when benches start popping up

Anyone able to shed some light on this issue I have?

Am I missing something here. I uninstalled 11.4 drivers I was using, restarted the sytem and used CCCleaner to delete any registry entries left and rebooted again.
Installed the new drivers and rebooted but when I open the AMD Vision Engine Control Centre I only have the options for the following.

    Pinned
    Presets
    Power

I have no other options? Anyone out there able to help as I have never seen this issue before when updating my drivers.

I bet new awesome drivers will be out soon.
Look how perfect the BFBC2 drivers are and that's from like 2 years back.

    -Note Sarcasm-

BFBC2 infamous blackscreen seizure flicker (C) ati drivers.

And goign by past history DICE will be equally as useless when it comes to patches, corrections of exploits.

I use ATT instead of CCC , Will I be able to DL the driver only without the extra bulk ?

You'll have to download the lot and extract them to get it out, then install it the Device Manager way.

anyone got artifacts on BF3 ? even with this drivers this happens, but only on outside environments, like thin horizontal black bars and some flashes..

Was wondering, how do I go about installing the vista fix?

I am at my wits end here, trying to install this 11.10 driver, keeps saying it's failing parts, crashing, all that.

I just want to play a bit of bf3 beta before it ends :<
