For some reason, these drivers keep failing on me. Everything successfully installs, but display driver keeps on failing no matter what i do: - restart - uninstall -> driver sweeper -> ccleaner -> repeat in safe mode - enable/disable auto driver install after reboot - uninstall in device manager All other drivers install perfectly fine: 10.1 -> 10.5 Any help? The error report/log says everything is successful except the actual jdisplay drivers.
Alright, thanks. I'm using 10.5 right now, and I'm too lazy to do the whole reinstallation process again so I will stay with 10.5. Is there a big difference between 10.4 and 10.5? How much better is 10.4?
heh, no wonder there's so many peons on topics with CFX avoiding the 10.6 although it's beta release was nightmare too. First damn driver I couldn't force to CFX to function even close correctly no matter what I did.
I had this happen recently. The fix [for me] was to download and install the latest HDMI Audio drivers. Then I was able to install the graphics driver.
Well, then I am happy to know my packs comes with RealTek HDMI driver separated, but well sounds a bit weird for something simplistic like this to be true, but hell I have fate that this kind of stuff might be exactly the thing, lol.
I suspect I had a missing entry in the registry - once I was able to get a good install from ATI (the HDMI Audio driver) the entry was no longer missing so the Graphic driver install then did not fail. Sometimes the simplest solution is best. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam's_razor :3eyes:
funny thing you mention Ockham's Razor. I am, atm, fighting with everything I got against the theory on modded drivers, but well perhaps simpler solutions are not always available. :bang:
this works for me Go to c:/ati/support/config edit the file installmanager with notepad or any text editor change the line workaroundinstall=false to true good luck
I was having problems with crossfire and 64bit operating systems... It was locking up in games and causing sound loops from time to time. After reinstalling the o/s to windows 7 32bit, all is well again and i could install any driver i choose, even the 10.6 that i couldn't install before. My crossfire setup no longer freezes. *This is a problem that i couldn't find a solution to on google for weeks, and figured that reinstalling to 32bit was the only thing i haven't tried.
