The only way to avoid disappointment is not to expect too much :)

They said it with the 8.12 drivers....which were bugged at release, as was the final "Hotfix"....the first "Hotfix" worked properly though.

LOL....won't bother me a bit. Just have to get there before the neighborhood kids steal my trash can again.

    Actual driver problems are rare...unless you're using a multi-GPU configuration, or a GTX460.

Doubt it now, not if these 10.12's are rumoured to be coming around week starting the 13th, so they want to be good, seen as our last drivers were October :p

If I'm correct, I believe it is the toolkit for ATI's equivalent of physx.

A fix for the "explorer.exe is not responding" when quiting a game, would be nice, or a fix for the texture flickering, and a fix for the crappy shadows, or a fix for.....

I believe it's connected with AMD OpenPhysics Initiative project.
    Read more here: http://www.amd.com/us/press-releases/Pages/amd-ecosystem-2010mar8.aspx
It's not equivalent of PhysX since Physx is proprietary and hardware acceleration works only on nVidia cards. AMD talks more about open standards and creating physics engines using OpenCL and DirectCompute. Both OpenCL and DirectCompute are supported by both AMD and nVidia.

The first bigger project to be released that uses such physics engine will be 3DMark 2011 on December 7th. Some specific tests take advantage of Bullet physics engine running on DirectCompute.
