Catalyst 10.1(8.69) by MSI

If I install de new drivers (8.69/ 8.70) I got bsod's when i wanna play dirt2, sometime no problem.
Is it due that the catalyst version is older than the drivers?With the 9.12 hotfix no problems(bsod) yet.

 

What are the odds for a "120Hz on all resolutions" fix in CCC 10.1?

 

I rather wait for 10.* . It really isnt worth it trying anything else.. :banana:

 

I would like to say that these are the best drivers yet

I was a firm advocate of the 9.12 hotfix + ati streak sdk 2.0 combo, but now I recommend these with the ati stream sdk 2.0!!

any crossfire users using these? the leaked 8.70's dont work for me as with any 3d app it freezes so if you have 5 series in xfire could you please let us know how this works for you? im currently on 9.12 hotfix

This driver is garbage.....No improvement at all.

 

well i guess its a bit much to demand more performance from a last generation card which has already improved by what? 25-30% since it was launched a couple of years ago.

ATI tends to focus (mainly) on current 5 series cards unfortunately for people like yourself.

what improvements were you looking for in this driver? it's not official yet so its always best to wait untill then, that way its final.

Almost the same performance as 9.12 HOTFIX.

Dirt 2 seems to be more smooth, but I'm still need to force triple buffering to avoid stuttering.

It's not big deal, but Heaven benchmark don't run anymore.

im getting over 20k gpu score at stock speeds in vantage with these drivers. Will test some games tomorrow. its midnight here in NZ so i better get some sleep.

I find your score a bit low.
I have 20k5 with only one 5870, of course overclocked, but it seems strange to me that you have almost the same with two cards. Vantage already obsolete ? :banana:

 

Beat my vantage score by 18 points with this new driver.

Anyone know if the AF bug is fixed in these? With the 9.12 forcing AF wasn't working for me.
