How long do AMD usually take to release profiles or driver hotfixes for certain games? I'm wanting to play this but I'd prefer wait for a proper crossfire fix first.

You should be able to play it allmost on highest settings with single GPU.

OR 45FPS avg is really that bad for you.

Besides 30FPS in witcher 2 doesnt feel half bad compared to lets say 30FPS in Counter Strike :)

Does Witcher 2 stutter/frameskip anything for you? It's doing it like mad for me regardless of settings and framerate.

Yes, it does! I stopped playing until they release a hotfix for Ati cards. :(

Good to know I'm not alone with this issue. I really hope they can fix it.

It makes me so angry! I've waited on this game for years and now it won't even work properly.

Guys I can't get it running in Full screen... Is this a bug with the game or is AMD gonna have to fix it?

Got the wierd skipping too, along with the crappy shadows, it's like they are made out of lines... Ignoring these issues I'm loving the game itself so far. I'll continue from Flotsam after the hotfix is released

Neither. The game plays fine fullscreen.

Directly from the readme of the game:
    - Some AMD cards may not allow you to play the game in fullscreen mode.

Will be fixed with a game patch or the hotfix driver that will come? We'll see

No way, really? That's just bad. I wonder if CD even did beta testing on any AMD cards. Well first I've heard of this problem posted on a forum so far. Must be a workaround for it.

I hate games that have game-breaking bugs at release...

I couldn't get MLAA to work at least it didn't look like it did. Let me know if you do.

The ubersampling will take care of the crappy shadows... we just have to wait till the patch and new driver. Once it is optimized I fully expect to be able to run the ubersampling at decent framerates with this rig.

Hey, im getting similar problems with this game. Regardless of resolution or settings im stuck around 22-30fps with severe dips in FPS. Even at 800x600 (windowed) runs poorly. Anyone else have my card and have success running this game? Really hoping the new drivers help with this.

MLAA makes game more beautiful and realistic with almost perfect image, but it doesn't worth that fps drop...i prefer wait until ubersampling with new amd driver becomes playable...it's still more preferable and crystal clear...

Hoping the hotfix won't take a week... Putting off playing Witcher 2 for a week would be torture.

I hope it doesn't take...another week, one thing I've been wondering, AMD said they they didn't have a final build of Witcher 2 to work from, so what drivers were CD Projekt using to test their final build before release?

I'm wondering the same thing. I wonder if AMD were denied by CD Project, is that part of their contract with Nvidia? I see equivalent Nvidia GPUs getting 10+ frames better than what I'm getting without the frame stuttering.
