Hopefully the new hotfix will come out soon. But my guess, by the time AMD releases the hotfix, majority of AMD users who want this for Witcher 2 will already have finished the game.

Playing it in window mode seemed to fix some framerate issues for me.

Because I was recalling it from my memory and I CBA to search?

Anyway, the point is that, Supersampling never run greats on graphic intensive games. Only the 'top cards' can run them. So anyone expecting 60+ FPS with single card or cards 2 years ago while turned on ubersampling is just dreaming.

I'm getting abysmal frames with everything set on ultra except for the ubersampling....I'm getting about 15 FPS standing outside the tent right in the beginning of the game.

Now I'm getting about 30 with the new drivers, but still...trash for what kind of card I have.

    i'm getting around 50-20 fps, mostly 30-45

and then I discovered in msi ab that core goes up and down for a second every couple of seconds that would explain the 20fps and 50 fps fluctuation because its going from 3d clocks to 2d clocks all the time. also, gpu usage is 100 percent at times but sometimes it's at zero or 15 percent so something is really wrong in the game.

    11.5 rc3. may 16 cap 2.

all maxed with radion pro dirt 2 af profile ;)
it does work but its not perfect and you do see a lot of negative performance scailing.
    all maxed apart from ubersampling.

Not very informative post.. Which drivers and caps are u using?

    dirt2+afr with
11.5a + 11.5 cap 1/2 flickers enough to cause seizures..

Agreeed! Shadow edges need to be smoothed out a lot better.

Managed to make the game playable by using RadeonPro, Dirt2 and AFR like the rest of you, 30-50 fps but the fluctuations are too great. I want steady 60fps pls :) No flickering...yet. 1920x1200 Ultra default (except über) 11.5 RC1 11.5 CAP 1

Does your GPU usage drop during the fluctuations? Mine goes from 90%+ to 40%-50% and my FPS drops. Hopefully this won't happen when they release a proper profile.

CPU bottleneck perhaps? Maybe I should upgrade to a K. Although it doesn't happen on other games. =/

I've got the same issue. Looks like a thin mesh over the textures. Hopefully something AMD can fix. It's odd that on DA2 Nvidia didn't run so well, but with AMD and Witcher 2, performance is down the crap shoot, but on some users, it looks considerably worse with this mesh.

Still looks ugly with that mesh crap over your textures. So I guess even on maxed out on AMD, it looks like crap. I hope the hotfix can fix this. Maybe needs to be patched from CD since I see it screenshots from this 590 user also. It's in almost all of his screenshots. http://www.ripten.com/2011/05/08/the-witcher-2-250-more-ultra-quality-screens-to-die-for/

spyre has said a new driver works better than the dirt2 profile

no info on when that will be, probably either some hotfix or at most 11.6

The Mesh went away for me when I disabled AA and enabled MLAA instead!

    As for ATI users:
    1) Install latest drivers ATI Hotfix.
    2) DIsable anisothropic filter, antialiasing and adaptive antialiasing and Catalyst A.I.; this can be done in the CCC panel.
    3) Try running the game in windowed mode.
    4) For dual cards linked into crossfire, turn off one of the cards or use the Dirt 2 profile.

AMD/ATI plans to release hotfix drivers dedicated to The Witcher 2. They will resolve problems with game's efficiency for crossfire users. This information will appear on:
