What spec/card, resolution for Q4?
Is the .net 2.0 and adaptive for the x1k cards, I have the x700 pro
I run Quake 4 at 1280 1024 ultra high maxed out and runs good on x850xp pt but can't enable adative aa why why why? weird. ohwell enjoy.
mmm nice, is that PCI-E or AGP? will have to give these a bash when I have time.
I quite fancy that boost for Quake4 if its true.
I like this new driver,it works well on my comp.
Fear : + ~3fps
NFSMW : + ~4fps
FarCry : + ~3fps
COD2 : + ~3fps
3dmark05 : 7200 at 590\600
AQ3 : 81476 at 590\600
Its AGP I runs better with these. Why i have no idea maybe its worth the switch to ati.
Sif I'd do that:flip2: :givebeer: :hit:
CP, all the way... Glade it came out.
hey cable guy if you have ati tray tools go to advanced tweaks and remove the check for disabled adaptive antialaising,it will be under new AA and AF Methods.
ok. that should help.
Thanks buddy What does adaptive aa do over regular aa?
Makes the quality better.
For example... try using Adaptive x2 AA.
It looks darn close to x4.
Working great for me, using the CCC ones.
Yeah, I got the same thing.
:frown: Went back to 5.6
ECS L4VXA2 rev 1.0
P4 2.4GHz 533FSB
1GB PC2100 DDR
Hehe, yeah, that problem was fixed a couple of days ago, one of the ATi techies helped me, appearantly I had a process called "Event Log" disabled, and after I made it automatic start, I rebooted and I was able to update, everything was fine after that.
to find "Event Log" do this: Start --> Run --> [services.msc] + enter. Look for "Event Log" and see if it's disabled, make it automatic if it is, it should fix the problem like it did for me.
5.12 is very nice indeed
3DMark05 score jumped 150 points to 8744 on a X850XT AGP!!!!!
... Er, sorry for being a bother, but am I the only person who simply cannot get these drivers to run? I installed both the bare drivers and the CCC versions, made sure I had the latest motherboard AGP drivers, ran driver cleaner, and all that stuff - and the farthest I get is a black screen. I could get the drivers to work with the Control Panel version, but everything else simply did not work. I'm not certain if this is the fault of my motherboard but I'm seriously starting to suspect it is the cause of my problems. Anyone?
I'm leery of installing a CP version I saw posted somewhere around here, because they're not officially supported, if I recall correctly.
Dave tell me about your bios settings,do you have agp fastwrites on and is it set to 8x or 4x agp?
I've tried having that enabled in the bios, and the ATI control panel states that it's turned off. I've also tried 4x and 8x speeds... that didn't change a thing either. I had to reboot with VGA mode to get the screen to show (and if I attempted to change anything, the screen went black.)
I went to the bios, turned on AGP fastwrites -again- (and increased the AGP memory aperture to 256MB), but before doing so I ran smartgart to test the AGP write/read functions. They seem to work now, but for some reason, Winamp doesn't show any of my old 'classic' skins. All I get is a black rectangle! Modern skins work fine... Dammit.
... well. I tried running the fullscreen visualization, and I came back from it... I got graphic corruption, my icons vanished... yeah. I think I'm gonna go back and change those settings back to what they were now.
Edit the third:
I went into the bios, changed the AGP Memory setting back to 128MB, and things work fine again. Very, very odd...
