nm. I found this.
These drivers are great, Got more in 3dmark01 and 03. Haven't tested them with 3dmark05 but so far they are working well.
I'm not sure if I should test the 4.12 beta's but I might give them a try and see if they're even better.
I just installed the 4.11 and did not see that thers a 4.12... damit ...
Official Cat 4.11
CRAP!!! call me crazy but I noticed some slowdowns in games after this install. I'm rolling back to 4.10. Or maybe I'm just under the influence of booze.
6248 using the 8.08 beta driver with the new 4.11 CCC. That's 43 more 3DMark05 points than previously running at the same clock and memory speeds.
Just tried them briefly. DVDs play better, and look 2,529 3D2005 marks, and improvement over previous. Will continue to try other games.
I Installed the 4.12 Beta... Looks Prety good.
Cat 4.12 Beta
22.26% increase in 3DMk2005
Funny, though, as I watched it I thought, "this doesn't look as good as the 4.10's looked in 3DMk05".
Don't know what the diff is going to be in any games yet. I just loaded the 4.11's and the first thing I did was run the benchmark.
4.12 Betas have the COD hardlock fix, at least for my machine specs.
Il2 about 5-8 fps more. IQ is sweet. Waiting on the Omegas.
Tried a few games. They play about the same. (UT2004, Halo, Jedi Academy, NFSU).
Catalyst 4.10 - 3589
Catalyst 4.11 - 4460
All on default speed!!!
Is it possible that big increase???
Anyone notice the change in the multimonitor handling in the Control Center?
Now you can't force a refresh rate with a non DDC monitor; right clicking on the monitor doesn't give you the [old] device properties anymore. Instead there's individual options for each monitor. Options for my LCD panel (Digital Panel Properties) works fine. For the CRT, the Monitor Properties 0 doesn't allow for setting maximum resolution and refresh rate. The option, Monitor Attributes is fixed on 1600x1200 60Hz and greyed out.
Kinda fustrating because 60Hz on a CRT makes my brain cry.
Oh yeah, and now the Control Center is doubly unstable ;D
CCC my as$! I won't use that crap until they polish it out.
temporal: Same here (I use BNC cables).
So, I downloaded ATI Control Panel (on istall say yes to uninstall CCC). Reboot, then download just CCC, install it.
Now, you have installed old ATI control panel and CCC - refresh on non DCC monitor can be set via ATI control panel.
help!! antialiasing does not work on my card radeon 9600 pro!!! wtf!!
i enabled it but nothing happens in warcraft 3 or nfsu2
SiR.CARAJ0DIDA try reinstall your drivers or something cause my aa still works
To set higher refresh rates when having CCC installed I always right click on my desktop, go to display properties, go to advanced, and then go to monitor (this option is still available even though CCC is installed). I then change the refresh rate there. I had to do this in the last version when CCC wouldn't let me go above 90 Hz (I wanted 100) and I was able to successfully set it to 100 Hz using the method I just listed.
SVT Amateur: Yes, but that is only if you have installed ATI control panel, because new 4.11 drivers have eliminated this option.
Try uninstall CCC, Ati control panel, 4.11 driver, then just install new 4.11 driver (with included CCC) and you will see what I am talking about.
That doesn't, and has never, worked for all the systems I've seen with catalyst.
The control panel/control centre has always enforced its own maximum refresh rate over whatever windows wants. You probably never noticed because your eye is incapable of differentiating between refresh rates above 85Hz. To confirm this, most monitors tells you their current resolution/refresh rate through the OSD.
I don't use CCC and I also got some issues with refresh. no matter how many times I use RefreshForce v1.10, it keeps resetting to the default in games everytime I reset my system.
