Played the original CC on my Amiga500 in 1988 i think. Was a cool sim but i liked the island capturing and building installations part way more than the actual combat.

YES!....CC on the Atari ST back in the day, along with Starglider and Stunt car racer.

Oh and a little bit of triva, this game was one of the dual format releases, so you could pop the disk into a Atari/Amiga or PC and play the game from the one disk.

Never heard of the original game. I watched the video and I still have no idea if it's an actual game or just a simulator.

^^It was a sim/arcade type game, you travelled around the sea in your massive carrier trying to capture islands with either your air or amphibios craft, and while your craft were doing that you would be deending your carrier against attack, and those islands would gaive your resources to repair and build stuff, but if you lose your carrier its over...........it was quite a game back in the day.
