Of course, I'm in more or less the same situation with my X99 rig. I went for dual 980s a few months back though, not being the best decision, it will do, especially once dx12 kicks in, helping with vram usage. But if I'd build a new rig now, I'd rather go with a Ti, or two maybe :D

    Small update on my Situation:

Bought the 980-Ti, for those wondering i've spent a couple of hours on Star Citizen, futuremark Firestrike, and BF4 since then.

First of, according to Firestrike Extreme (4K), my single 980-ti reach 86% of 980-SLI Graphic Score, without overclocking memory much and my card ain't exceptional (ASIC 71%).

    http://www.3dmark.com/fs/5382566

Star Citizen maxed out 4K is running between 29 and 41Fps,(mostly 31fps while in Hangar and 35 while in space not fighting)

BF4 is easily handled at 4K 60FPS, but i do have high latency (i play on IPS 1440p downsampling from 4k) which makes it not really fit to play
