If we're still talking about my wagon it's a 1983 Olds Custom Cruiser. And while the Jag V12 is a damn good engine, I'd have to cut some metal out of my engine bay to get one to fit properly due to the length of the damn thing.

It weighs loads too i think. Would be interesting though but i guess it would oversteer pretty badly

Nah, cut out the old chassis and drop in a corvette or a jaguar chassis, modified of couse, and you'll be good to go. Apart from some minor firewall modification that v12 should fit. OR you could make engine mounts in the back and put the engine in the rear compartment. Like a Ferrari......

Ah, but making it mid-engined would destroy the essential "wagon-ness" of the car.....and thats what makes the car cool. That, and the front bench seat. And the V8 bass line. And the fake wood panelling on the flanks. And the fact that everybody, even truck drivers, get out of the way.

Ahhh, but you can trick people into thinking its an original wagon. Tint the rear windows, leave the fake wood laminent on and there ya go!

You can still use the wagon-ness of it. That thing has a huge engine compartment in the front. Just convert it into a cargo trunk because you'll still have plenty of space!

You should use a V8 imho. V12 Jag engine would be cool (the exhaust note on that engine...) but probably too heavy/generally big

Put some forced induction on it, maybe. Give the pesky British BMW M5 drivers something to think about lol

And put a manual gearbox in it if it has an auto atm

I remember when I was a kid, my dad used to own an oooooold Oldsmobile. After it caught on fire down in LA, he scrapped it and bought a green wagon. Ugliest shade of green Ive ever seen, but it came with a tuned turbo racing engine. I was to young to remember (4 or 5 years old at the time) the specifications but that SOB could move and bust ear drums. He later sold it to a destruction derby crew and we see it racing from time to time.

    My Dream cars are:

    MCLAREN F1.
    Ford GT90

Though McLaren is no more the fastest car cuz a bug shaped car goes at speeds upto 250.5mph^-1. But McLaren's shape and interior attracts me. Plus who wud allow us to go at speed upto 250.5 mp/h on normal roads having abundance of traffic. So left with my Toyota Corolla SE SALOON. <sigh>.

Yeah the orig owner took great care of it, I plan on doing so, if all goes well I plan on keeping this car running the rest of my life. Of course there are other cars in my future, but this one will be there as well, lol.
