I like my car. Especially it's ability to destroy rice rockets.

JRS thats an awesome car :D

We need more cars like that in this country (even if they are probably very thirsty lol)

She's not that thirsty, I can usually get 22 mpg if I'm being careful. Admittedly that drops to about 15 if I start using the revs more, but revs aren't something that car needs to go quickly.

Look! The hand-polished body of the Shelby GR-1 concept car sparkling under the lights at the auto show in Detroit. The vehicle is based on Ford’s GT supercar and is powered by 605-horsepower V10.

Currently only running a baby 5 litre (307ci) V8 w/ 4 barrel carb. Will be pulling that in the summer probably, if I have the money to put my current plan into effect - 350ci (5.7litre) motor with some choice modifications.

in that case, with some minor modifications i beleieve that you could fit a Jaguar V12 in it

That would give the ricers something to think about lol

Imho, you should keep the outside looking as stock as possible (maybe firm up the suspension and get some lightweight wheels or something) but most people (ie ricers) wouldnt expect it to go as fast as i'm sure it does with all that power under it

I think using "minor" is the understatement of the year :D

Right now Ive got a 1971 Chevy c-10 350ci 5.7litre V8. It moves like a bitch because the previous owner cut off a few "excess" parts and welded on some lightweight replacements. And it still gets 18mpg tops! I'll post some pics tomorrow. Still have to fix the alternator support....

    Damnit - i meant from a 454ci Chevy engine to a Jag V12

Do you have to change any transmission parts or strengthen the chassis to handle all that torque from a 5.7 litre engine?

For your's or for mine? I think the 5.7litre V8 was stock back in '71 for my model, but Im not to sure because the previous owner might have replaced it with a newer Chevy 350. I havn't looked at the engine number yet to find out.

BTW, what type of wagon is that. It almost looks like a Lincoln-type wagon.
