    Hi folks,

After a suspected MoBo failure on my son's PC we have bought a new MoBo and are trying to reinstall Win 10.

I have formatted his SSD and started the process from a Win10 USB drive that I've used successfully before.

It gets to the point where it has the 5 checkpoints ending in updating then 'Getting Finished'

It then restarts but goes back to the beginning again.

I have tried different cables ports and drives with same result.

Could it be that windows thinks it's a different computer due to the change of board? And won't allow the 'I don't have a product key' option?

No idea what else to look at.

    Any ideas?

What do you mean by "It then restarts but goes back to the beginning again." ?

It starts the install over again?

Remove the install media (USB/DVD) before it reboots in case it's booting from that again

Sorry guys... scrap this. I forgot entirely that you had to change boot order to make USB after the Windows drive :(

Been a while since I've done it like this and I thought it knew the USB / SSD relationship when it restarted.

    Cheers
