    Hello everyone,

I have a netbook from Coby from a friend and I can't install android on it,
when I start the netbook the Coby logo appears

    http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/4064/img1127rc.jpg

after a few seconds the android logo appears

    http://img809.imageshack.us/img809/4785/img1126u.jpg

after about 10 seconds the logo disappears and restarts again from the android logo again and so on, it has a reset button under and it does nothing
I read somewhere that you have to pres the F7 key to start bios(I think!)
but still no luck, I tried to install using a USB memory but no luck there, I tried google and found nothing about this exact model witch is Coby NBPC824, It's not even on the official Coby site:heh: , but found it on Amazon.de(Germany)

    http://www.amazon.de/NBPC824-Netbook-Entertainment-800x480-Android/dp/B007MJHSUW

Please help me solve this problem and install a fresh copy of android, Thank you in advance.

What Android version did the netbook had?
Oh,i see it has 2.2. Android version.
Do you have a back up of the original ROM ?
Normally, for Android devices, you put the ROM on a flash drive, start the device in fast boot mode and it starts flashing the ROM you provided(this is a generalized process)
What i don t know if you could flash a stock 2.2 ROM to it..

For smartphones and tablets fast boot is started when you press Start and Volumeup button in the same time, for netbooks i really don't know.

I know you don't want to be told this but give up. Coby sells 2nd rate "android" devices that are barely functional and basically unsupported. They use a 3rd party "app store" that's legitimacy is rather questionable.... You won't get any help from Google or anyone else....

Who said you can't use it?
I purchased two cheap Coby tablets (4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich but no Google Play) for $69 for each of my kids.

I rooted them, installed CWM (Clockworkmod) as a recovery, created a recovery image (just in case) and then side-loaded Google Play.

    Done.

All you have to do is get the proper info.

That's what helped me get these 2 to be fully functional Android tablets.
It's not likely that the link above is going to help YOU with YOUR netbook, but if you search, you'll find your answers.

    Good luck!
