Hi. I cant connect to the guru3d forums and I read something about scheduled down time. I tried the ipconfig/ flushdns and the ipconfig/registerdns thing and nothing happened. I am able to connect from work though. Anyone got any ideas or know how long I have to wait?

Nevermind. I had the old ip in my hosts file..... C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts. There was a tweak on TweakXP.com that you could ping your favorite websites from the command prompt and then add them to your hosts file to make the page load faster. Well, I had the guru3d's old ip in there and thats why it wouldn't load. Problem solved. Now I can sleep.

Ahh yes, the good ol' C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file, very powerful indeed.

If you couldn't connect, how did you post? :)

You should make the HOSTS file read only after editing to help stop hackers playing games with you.
