Call of Duty Modern Warfare

Yes, even though I only played those against others at LAN parties. Great fun.

Those games weren’t slow either, but the latest parts were *so* fast on PC. My oldest son plays on console and there, the speed was fine.
I got along fine up until BO2, but part 3 was just extremely fast. We didn’t play IW/AW for too long, but I remember they were pretty tough also.

I liked the somewhat slower, more tactical approach of the older parts.

 

Don't know if you guys have seen these yet.







Have to say I was not even considering this, as I haven't played a CoD since BO2 (I think I played Ghosts or Advanced Warfare for about a day or 2 before uninstalling after the stupid jetpacks and futuristic crap just kept getting worse.)
Then I saw this was being done by IW, who were the people who did my personal favorites, the orig MW2 and MW3. And now I think I'm going to to have to get this.

I also have faith the campaign will be at least as good as the old MWs. I can't see them not doing that justice. Price is back, after all.

The only thing that worries me is battle.net. Never used it. Hate having a launcher that tries to take over my OS.

The majority of these apps are harmless. Some people just over exaggerate about them in my opinion. Each to their own as I always say.

 

Well, I know for Origin, every time it updates, I have to go into Services and set it to Manual, even though there's a setting in the client for it.

 

Strange, I don't find this issue.

Politics don't belong in any form of art or media except those that are specifically for the purpose of politics.

Seriously, politics don't belong in gaming. It's literally one of the things that's ruining my hobby.

If I want to pay attention the story of an SP game I don't need to hear political bullcrap from the left or right.

 

Totally agree! I game to get away from the politicrap. If you don`t want to sell me a game tho, that`s the sure way to do it. I don`t care about anyones agenda/propaganda/message whathaveyou etc. Not interested. Nor do I wanna be clubbed over the head with this kinda stuff while I am trying to immerse.

 

So if i see this right we'll have:

- release via Blizzard launcher
- great stories with CaptnPrice
- coop
- intuitive weapon configurator
- dedi servers

Agreed. Though, just out of curiosity, you guys are agreeing with that video right? Since they are saying the exact same thing you are?

 

Only thing I'm thinking is when the micro-transactions are released, will it really just be cosmetic stuff like camo's and gun skins? My first reaction to the 'No Season Pass' announcement was, we are basically seeing a CoD game from 8 years ago, when mt's weren't a thing yet. Map DLC cost like $8 I remember, but there were no loot boxes, no paywall for better guns, etc.

It's Activision afterall.

 

I miss the days the old cod's had custom map support and mods. Free content from modders and map creator's is such a good thing.
