Why does it matter?
People are allowed to like and dislike whatever they wish.
Yeah this is a pretty dick move! No idea if the mode is worth playing, it might be just some tacked on crap but still. 2 week exclusive, maybe a month ?... Ok whatever, but a frikkin year!? By the time the mode comes out for other platforms, people have probably moved on to other games or gearing up for the next CoD! Lord knows what other "goodies" Activision has up their sleeve post launch and this move has kinda put me back on the fence.
Well, it’s a marketing move. Who knew about this mode beforehand? Nobody.
Now people are interested and may even look at PS4s...
Btw, it really looks as if this game might have too many modes...
Why does it matter to you if he dislikes people disliking something? lol.
Who said it matters to me?
I'm just curious why he got in a fuss about it.
Personally, I don't care who like what launcher or doesn't like which launcher.
Well I definitely won't be getting this at least until it's on a decent discount or if I end up getting it for free again from ActiBlizz. 1 year exclusive on a game mode is just insane. It's also one of the few modes I was interested in... leaving me with Singleplayer and Realism + Search and Destroy :/
Hard pass. :/
He might just be annoyed with that tired response of "It's just another launcher". Your post came awfully close to that sentiment which is often tossed around without merit by some of the big dogs in the current exclusive scene (Randy and Tim Sweeney for example love to use that phrase). It is just honestly very disingenuous and avoids the true consequences of having a game tied to said launcher. I am not trying to start an argument here. I typically ignore these types of comments now because it's a pointless and fruitless argument at this point.. but I just wanted to point that out.
Now, i have nothing against exclusive title as long as it's just a matter of launcher for me. But exclusive Gamemode?! What the freaking, frack.
We're paying the same price, i want the full game experiemnce wth ?! That's a d$ck move.
Is it even legal?!
It matters if something insignificant is said about an app that let s u play a game,it s just a means to an end
It is legal if it is considered as a targeted bonus content. But since the moment, it will be unlocked for everyone sometime later, it isn't legal anymore. Lawsuits can be filed against them easily like an autumn's early wind.
*puts epic launcher fanboy hat on*
Exclusives are awesome guys what's wrong all you need to do is use a PlayStation 4.... who even plays video games on PC these days amiright¿?¿!?¿?1
*burns hat and leaves*
Don't use facts! xD
That makes it really obvious why Activision Blizzard was pushing for casual mobile "video games" so hard.
So, refund was requested and granted. (Very fast, I may add.)
Unless they change this bullshit. I am not buying it.
Honestly, i hope thats true. Just would show they just havent learned from BF2 and other games how that move effected the whole IP. Would also show they (once again) try to milk cod far beyond the usual...
Its still cod so i wouldnt be surprised at all.
Lol they really had to add lootboxes again? Really?
I will pass on the game; while I did enjoy it, I would must rather invest in a game where the developer's aim is to provide long term support and sustainability. Think R6 Siege, Starcraft 2 or CS:GO (to an extent on that last one).
Not one where the dev. will likely release another title next year, making this one obsolete; and knowing the money grabbing w***** they have become, I wouldn't be surprised if they push the issue come next year. This game had potential to be up there and compete against the other online shooters, but I don't see it being the case.
They will have more surprises for us once the game releases; similar to Black Ops 4.
