In past titles you could keep it stable, not in this one, therefore its not making sense.

In CoD, stable framerate is always better than "high" framerate. Of course you'd want high frames for smoothness but, the CoD special, you'd especially want the hit detection and speed.
When fps are all over the places there's nothing to be gained and, even worse, nothing to get used to.

Finaly they gonna patching the game. This is what IW said:

These will appear as both hot fixes and TUs in the coming weeks alongside planned changes to the areas of Ghosts affecting all players, such as spawns. As a guiding principle, development priority is assigned to those issues which we deem to have the largest immediate impact or those affecting the broadest group of players.

I hope they inculding an fps fix and performance fix

It's needed or the PC population will never get back to where it used to be. That wasn't much, by any standard, but it's lousy at the moment.

Depends, like I said 125fps is allot smoother then 91fps.
Whole picture looks more responsive and less jitter.

I didnt bother with this game though, looks like one big mess.

Yes of course 125 is better than 91. Jumpy 40-120 isn't anything I'd want to use or get used to.
The engine only works "right" when you're playing with a stable framerate. That's my experience at least from the last couple of years.

Received this as a late Christmas present.
It's odd, as it looks mostly like Modern Warfare 2, maybe with a little more detail on the weapon models... it runs horribly.

I get smoother performance out of Crysis 3 and Metro: Last Light.
The bloated engine (attempting to) running this game is really past it's prime.

It's the engine. PS4 can't run this game at 1080p either without stutter and the 'Bone has reduced quality graphics. I hope they up their game the next time around.

The series needs a new engine.
Instead of trying to update and rework the same tired engine the series has been running on for years.
It's bloated and unoptimized at this point.

    EDIT:
Well, I finally got it to were it runs smoothly.
I disabled the STEAM overlay. Dropped the game's priority from High to Normal in Task manager.
Disabled basically every post processing effect in the game (distortion, depth of field, motion blur)... disabled the in game AA and forced it through my control panel instead.

Ran through pretty much a full mission and it was very, very smooth.

It's more than odd though that you'd have to make it look worse than its predecessors in order to have a smooth game.

Forcing AA through Catalyst won't work on DX11 games according to the AA guide on this forums.

And try to play in multiplayer, seems to be a different thing performance wise.

I still get massive framerate drops in the middle of the Octane map, if shadows are enabled. It wouldn`t bother me so much if the game looked half as good as BF4, but it doesn`t.

If it only ran and looked as good as the previous games we wouldn't be complaining, would we? They tried to make it look nicer and crippled it completely. What a mess.

Somebody around who had any success with the latest patch?

The patch did absolutely nothing for me.
MP White Out is like watching a slide show at beginning.
    Totally unplayable.
    This game is a joke.
    Wasted $60.00

Patch made it actually playable for me.
I haven't updated to the new beta driver that's supposed to improve performance... but, just the path alone has helped a LOT.

You know, I was *so* happy to finally see a collector's edition for PC again. I simply had to get it. And actually, it wasn't even that expensive.
But: As we all know, the game has been crap so far. No one's playing it. With all the stutter and weird graphics I couldn't even enjoy singleplayer.
The only good thing is that, relatively, many people are still playing Hardcore Domination. That's a mode I can live with.

The game is dropping very low. Usually BLOPS2 and even MW3 is over Ghosts. Around top 20 in STEAM, compared to other years they used to be always top 10.

Personally I gave up, I have stable framerate playing MP (60 fps locked 100% time) but still I have some weird stuttering/rubber banding. And Camapaign... big fps drops just looking around... it's very sad. Feeling double sad because it was a xmas present too.
