i don t know if the gameplay here is the same, but that rat, cowardly, hiding gameplay in MW has to stop, im not saying the game is bad, but the gameplay in multiplayer lets u exploit the way how to play like a rat and hide in tdm.....it is just unbearable with these idiots that play like this..

If it's camper's you're referring to then I'm afraid that's something you'll never be able remove from multiplayer FPS games, the tactic has been used since the first MP shooters and will continue to be used. What makes it problematic in CoD is the nature of the game and the playerbase as there are a lot of younger players around and they just don't know any better, then you got camo challenges like get X amount of bloodthirsties with gun Y so a player might manage 3 kills and then camp out in a corner hoping to get the remaining 2. Also worth pointing out that a player might simply be pinned down or maybe defending an objective.

I like to deal with them by putting my remaining 6 brain cells into use a bit. If I get taken out by some corner humper I just use an alternative route and leave them to it. The game also gives you the tools to deal with them, you can flush them out with nades and tacticals or if it's a sniper, just counter snipe them. If you manage to troll a camper by taking them out a few times, they usually give up soon. Playing super aggressive with a speedy build works quite often too.

The way I tend to look at it is this: All's fair in love and war, I don't think there were many allied soldiers on Omaha beach in 1944 shouting "You f***ing camper noobs! l2p!" at the German forces who were dug into positions.

PS. Yes this game has campers and yes I got killed by them a few times last night.

PPS: Yes, I killed them back!... Several times.

I caved in and got it for the single player.

So far I have to say I am impressed. Only done 3 missions and I like how its set up, with you character having traits (basically perks), and the ability to select missions, read information/evidence before going in, and the ability to chose options on what to do and how to progress (weather this actually changes the outcome of the ending or direction the story goes, only time will tell). Also there are side missions that open up as you complete more of the main missions and these are totally optional.

Gameplay is fun, fast paced, I have done 3 missions and I have been running across rooftops, shooting from a jeep, controlling RC car, turreting a chopper gunner, flying a chopper gunner, and invading a Vietnam mountain side village. So its very varied gameplay. The graphics are nice but nothing that is like "wow this is next gen".

I am currently playing @ 1440p everything maxed out (ray tracing off) with Ultra High Res Texture pack installed and a 60fps frame rate cap enabled (using freesync to avoid tearing).

Performance on my 3900X, 1080Ti, 16GB 3600MHz RAM is excellent. During gameplay I am getting a completely locked 60fps the only times this drops is during cutscenes when the camera gets close to a characters face and the DoF kicks in behind them with the frame rate dropping a couple frames to around 56-57fps. Once again this is fine as its during cutscenes and not all of them.

Fixed my FPS issues by reverting back all the way to Nvidia's 446.14 drivers. I was playing the game with the missus tonight and whenever I was dead I was looking at her screen next to me and her game ran so much smoother even though it's a similar spec rig so thought I'd check the driver version and try that and it looks like it worked and it feels like I got some headroom to turn some settings higher up too so we'll see.

for me turning off RTX made the game run way better.
2080ti just cant hack 4k textures and RTX at the same time I guess.

Just finished the campaign and really enjoyed it as I always do with CoD campaigns. Think I actually enjoyed this more than the campaign in MW 2019. I liked the evidence collecting stuff in CW and how you needed them for the small side missions even though I didn't get to do the other one. I swear I collected the last bit of evidence I needed but my game crashed and sort of decided that I didn't collect it so I just said nvm and ploughed on.

Playing a little more and I am consistently getting crashes now. In both SP and MP

    COD1.jpg COD2.jpg

Its like regular as clock work, the game will run for about 15 minutes perfectly fine and the it freezes with this error. I've scanned the files/repaired them and it doesn't work. I've tried -d3d11 command line in battle.net for this game and it doesn't work either as it has been suggested online.

Crazy to think a triple AAA game can crash so much, when I am also playing Prodeus which is an early access indie game and that has been rock solid....

You do mean the design/layout, right? If so I do strongly think these are Sledgehammer maps, that got streamlined/polished up by Treyarch, they do not have the same flow/distances/engagement sizes as classic Treyarch maps. They play fine on DOM and "upwards" but kind of crappy on TDM modes and FFA imho.

Is your GPU memory overclocked? I reduced my video memory overclock and crashes seems to have disappear... Cut my memory OC by half.

I liked the campaign but they made you play the same area one too many time imo.

You can use AA as much as you want it won't do a thing on this, that's the shadow map of the light hitting from the left -either a spotlight or the sunlight- which is too low resolution. Do you use ray tracing? what's your shadow settings? Resolution? DLSS? The dev will have to adjust it as i doubt you'll be able to do something about it.

What i find weird is that i would think in previous Call of Duty game they would have baked all those shadows in textures, but as they're now supporting ray tracing for AO and shadows it forces people not using ray tracing to compute it real time.
The thing that shocks me from your screenshot is the lack of shadow/AO under the truck in the background, i'm concerned about quality drop for non ray tracing users now.

Can't say I've encountered that blocky shadow thing. Have encountered lots of other bugs in MP though which I would put to general lack of polish.

    - Although my fps is now better, its obvious there are still a fair bit of optimisation issues here.
    - Sometimes when you look at the kill cam the text that shows your enemy's attachments overlaps, making it impossible to read which attachment's they were using.
    - There does not appear to be an indicator if a double XP event is currently on unless I'm being blind. The only place it tells you is the end of round scoreboard.
    - Taking off a camo from a weapon could be clearer.
    - Shadows in the distance flicker and glitch but this could be down to the fact that I'm temporarily on an older driver.
    - Game needs AF, think I saw it in the config.ini that you can force it on to 16x but I didn't test it.

I'm fairly confident a lot of this will be patched up and sorted in the coming weeks, I'm still having a blast with the game but it has to be said that at the price point and consider the high profile of the game my expectations were a little bit higher.

game runs good for me on medium- low settings to make it above 120 fps, drops to 110, but generally smooth, game looks bland in some maps don t know the reason, maybe upping textures.... shadows aswell look like they are missing in the scene.... don t know the reason if anyone has a fix? i will download the latest nvidia driver to try it.

Not using RTX as I have a 1080Ti

Nope my 1080Ti is only factory overclocked. But I have fixed my crashes by turning OFF HAGS in Windows 10. I have played through the whole campaign now without a single crash. Gonna leave HAGS off now as I seem to get better fps in other games too. I completely forgot it was even turned on. As my crashes seemed "timed"/at a consistent pace (after about 10-15 minutes of play) I had a feeling it was something to do with scheduling. So I remembered this setting in Windows 10 and checked it. Seems to have fixed my issue.
