Not really. It’s either hit or miss, while the current system delivers a constant experience.
Im skipping this one, huge step back from MW.
Gameplay feels too fast, sensitivity feels awkward..
I dont think the alpha felt that fast, its like you run at double the speed now.
That's basically what I wrote just rephrased, I do not want a "constant" experience, it's boring and destroys the fun for high k/d players, sense of progression is lost as well.
But whatever, you people should stick to games like MW then, seems like a good fit.
It's mainly due to the usual Treyarch "desync" connection issues, they fail with netcode each time.
The MW system works great, and i hope they don t mess up the mechanics in the next MW game or whatever that may be...
Well, what's a "high k/d" player? How isn't that something constant if you're constantly getting more kills then deaths? Exactly.
This game is trash
- buy key on sale
- play story & enjoy dialogs of captn price
- uninstall to play CP2077
Rinse & Repeat
yes Modern warefare seems better overall.
Cold war feels like CSGO with cotten candy.
Be the way where is the ray-tracing settings hidden in the menu. Cant find it.
This game is a downgrade to mw in every way. I'm honestly being subjective here!!!
They even dialed up sbmm in this one. I was sweating with my very first match. The graphics and audio is not up to snuff. Its a run and gun style competitive game whether you want to play competitive or not.
Weapon and weapon assets unlock is an epic grind. You want a scope, to bad...unless you completely dominate 2 matches in a row. It won't come easy. And if you do be prepared to be put into a cheater lobby.
There is no fun in playing this like I had with BO4. And the map selection you see now will be removed in the release version. That's a horrific decision from developers, horrific.
And to top it off its peer to peer connection. I was host and completely dominated. So no intentional lag when hosting. But the hit rego is complete trash. It takes 1/2 clip per opponent. That's a no go.
And the cheating...the cheating is much worst then mw. They are using sniper rifles as no scope, hip firing assault rifles.
This game is horrific.
I was afraid the game is gonna be like this, im staying with mw it seems
I'll play the campaign for sure, I just love the era and setting.
But multiplayer? I tried this yesterday and it was so far off that I wouldn't even consider switching over. I'd consider the original BO over this type of multiplayer any day.
PS: does it have any unlocks for MW?
im still waiting on the open beta to open up for me
A high k/d does not mean that you are constantly getting more kills, that is not how it works, are you just not that smart with numbers (coming from me being a total math tard) or just trolling now?
I can have one game with a kd of lets say 3, then two games with a kd of 1 or 1.5, this is what variety looks like.
How about I make your traffic from home to work a race track four days a week with aggressive drivers, and allow one day to be normal, this is SBMM, really not so hard to grasp.
With SBMM, even if you play good, you feel you have been gifted easy players, at the end of the day with strict (that is the issue at hand here) SBMM one is nothing more but a dog that is getting trained and manipulated.
Activision had some sort of ban wave because I can actually play CW today.
Hit rego is now a bit better and weapons attachments are unlocking more frequently now.
I'm not sure what happen what a turn around since the 1st 2 days of playing this game!!!
Still not sure if I will get this game. I will have to see this continue to the regular beta 1st.
Because if I didn't know any better SBMM is turned down or off today...
Played just over 1 hour of the open beta.
I LOVE the feeling of this one. Everything feels super responsive, players feel like they have weight to them. MW for me was hit or miss with the feeling, you either feel kinda light weight or you feel super damn heavy. Its probably personal preference but for me BOCW feels 10x better in this regard.
Weapon models look fantastic, feel really good to shoot, animations are top notch stuff.
Time to kill seems to have been decreased slightly from MW which for me is for the better.
Sound design is AWFUL, guns sound like your throwing 100 pebbles in a cathedral
Footsteps are loudish but now really muffled (could be my hearing though)
Map design is trash, 3 lane system is now 10 lane system with some junk thrown in seemingly at random.
Spawns are again COMPLETELY broken and some of the spawns are just down right insane 2 of my friends got spawned into the actual centre of the map with 4 enemies circling them. This happened around 10+ times, its either a massive bug or its really that bad.
hit registration is A JOKE, I've seen killcams of people not even aiming on me with their bullets BENDING towards my body (console aim assist maybe).
HEALTH BARS!?????? ARE YOU JOKING???????
OVERALL with my limited time its HARD PASS, I would love to play the SP though, with how the game movement feels and with the wacky OTT storyline its bound to have it should be a solid 5-8+ hours of fun. Wished they'd sell it separately tbh.
What? This game is NOTHING like CSGO in any shape or form. COD is a mindless "run and gun reward the player every 10 seconds or they will get bored" shooter, has been since COD 3/4, and now always will be. CSGO is a slow paced methodical heavily team focused twitch shooter that requires strict team coordination to achieve anywhere near pro level play. Play CSGO like 95% of people play COD and you won't have a good time.
this reddit thread says it all
I tried this again today and it felt better.
It still felt bad though. Somehow, I think this could be Treyarch‘s Ghosts in a way.
I did not have any issues with that, NAT type open crossplay enabled. Don't know what most streamers complain about, probably crappy ISP's and/or settings.
My gripe with the game is visibility and performance, the first one is alright the filmic SMAA does a good job, the regular one is really bad, still need to re-sharpen the image after that like with reshade for example but I did not bother for the beta, the quick play list ist too annoying to deal with.
I'll just wait and see how reactions and patches are for PC version for release and beyond, if they manage to optimize better its a solid old-school COD game Treyarch style, the only developer left worth a dam over there anyway.
some of the complaints here are ridiculous, dont like the bars remove them, "10 lane" yes right, sure...
basic 3 lane design, just bigger map size and some intersections here and there that can be removed/are too much, still nowhere near the level of MW19 retarded map design
i can't say i liked most of the CoD games in the first place but this game is CoD as hell. If you like that you'll probably like this but its not for me still. Having numbers pop off people is as satisfying as other number games but its still CoD....
Visibility? That's odd i didn't have any issues with that. I took it to be a console problem.
I did notice they are messing around with SBMM. When the beta started I was saw a few sweaty lobbies. Then after winning those I notice I was in a cheat lobby. Everyone using sniper rifles as assualt rifles, no scoping from across the map type of stuff.
The overall IQ and sound is a down grade no if's and and buts about it. And the performance hit vs MW is a bit of mystery. This version of the game is certainly not optimized. And using MSI A/B and graphing the FPS is a consistent stutter not found in MW for me.
In all, this isn't worth buying.
