There's no exe file (I have it pre-loaded and it doesn't take the binary NCF and associated files yet.) so it's impossible for it to be tinkered with, encryption is also fully in place and the decryption data isn't active yet either from what I've seen in the resource files Steam uses. I would also guess the binaries are missing from the retail disc edition and will be downloaded via Steam as it's a Steamworks title, likely nothing will happen until the 9th at a specific time (Unfortunately often afternoon or evening for us the EU.) or how it's set up this time.
whatever happened to people just waiting for the game to be released? I like to game and all, but man.. its not that far from release..
I had that preorder deal too until they cancelled it. Now I'll have to pay 53 pounds or 85$ to get the game that I can activate directly, without any risk... isn't that great? Currency conversion on Steam is another thing that doesn't really work out. I guess one could make a fortune by selling gifted copies to others which he bought at the "cheapest" Steam store.
Well my retail shop is opening up at Midnight headed into the 9th, so i'll be flying out to grab my yummy copy.
for the first time i saw some multiplayer gameplay footage, this looks AWESOME! now im not sure where to buy it from, locally (israel) its just a bit less ($5) then steam... but is this game region locked or not? because im moving away to NY US very soon, so im unsure where to buy it from, advice would be great!
Retarded weapons, as well as easier overpowered killstreaks, unless everyone plays in the gamemode/mod without the silly weapons and overpowered killstreaks, then the game will almost certainly suck.
I agree with you Charliehamster, but will the campaign have more then just straight shooting terrorists?
killstreak reward kills will not accumulate in killstreak for next reward. gained 1 reward, there's no way anyone can camp for the next.
Unseen gameplay footage of PC version at the end of a video showcasing the NEW Nvidia GTX 580, enjoy ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCPMHIDpT88&
Nice video, showing off how NVIDIA is really into the computer, while AMD seems to just be floating by ~
