well optimal position sucks really. no one wants that. there should be no limit when it comes to viewing the tv from a certain angle

Liranan, slight contradiction, if you fear it will do well because of the hype, then it means the sales are good, not bad so there will be no piracy talk by Kotick.

This game will sell sh1t loads anyway, millions will buy it blindly, and even those who object to server issues, or use of Steam and Vac, or price will eventually get it if enough of their friends/clan members get it.

Yeah, the optimal position thing will never take off on 3DTV's, it could be ok on a small PC monitor where your not going to move much, and your taking up most of the viewing angle, but on a TV it is only going to cause arguments.

Glassless 3DTV, 3D for the rich and friendless:wanker:
All that plus $2800 for a 20inch screen, no thanks.
Before i got contacts i viewed my whole life with glasses on, and when its sunny i don't hide indoors in fear of having to put shades on outside, so for now i think i can live shutter glasses:banana:

32+ inch is not a problem when they already able to do it on a stage.

What I want is a True 3D TV like HoloVizio as a domestic product!

    http://www.holografika.com/Videos/HoloVizio-640RC-18m-screen-diagonal-in-operation-192.html

Imagine watching true 3D porn on HoloVizio. wakaka

Also. Star war like hologram is being research with good result so far. Animated image floating above the 'display surface'.

yes seriously would mean 1280x1024 or lower resolution, no aa , af or other visual settings on high. all that matters is performance and high fps.

For me, "playing" and "serious" never really fit together :D
3D could be fun for SP but I guess it wouldn't work for MP at all as it's usually just so much faster.

I'm really looking forward to having my own server again though. Maybe those scumbag hack sellers put their stuff on sale too yesterday, I really don't know, but I was in the mood to play some of the maps I had bought some time ago for MW2. After 5-6 rounds, each with at least two very blatant hackers in it, I left the game and did something else. I've never ever seen it being this bad before.

^ truth is cheating was always worse on MW2 than MW.. not to say that MW didn't have the odd hacks, but it never seemed as rampant and obvious as with 2 is.

As for 3d glasses, I dunno. The verdict is still out for me with the 3d craze. I supposed its just another hype thing companies are trying to capitalize and push and make money on. I find LCD immersive enough my own taste, but I do like emjoying a great film in 3d.. specially in Imax, that is a steller show.

Just got an email from GAME.co.uk, they've lowered the price to £29.99.

    looks good :)

edit: a little off topic, but does anybody have a permanent fix for PB stutter in COD4 Mw and COD5 Waw, i keep getting it at the start of the map and sometimes in the middle too and it lasts for around 30-90sec.. I use nod 32firewall and i allowed it and also used a option to bypass and not monitor it and still its happening (i even added pb port and ip).. in the log it says incorrect packet TCP checksum (protocol 0) or something.. kinda depressing.

Any fixes, apart from disabling fw?

Nope, stuttering you get is the PB checking your game. Fixable only by playing on non PB enabled servers.

:)yea i know that, i saw it first last year in june or july - they've updated pb and its happening ever since..its not so bad in winxp, only in win7 64, 32 was ok i think.. grr

i was asking because when i test pbsvc.exe i keep getting pnkBstA not responding - something in nod firewall blocks it and i thought maybe that's the problem for those stutters too.
    ah well..

What's the problem with hackers? There are servers and they aren't even very expensive. If you have some buddies it's only 2-3$ per month. You can choose your own settings, maps and play with friends. If there's someone hacking you can get rid of him in no-time ;)

Why would you have to pay for a server when you could host it yourself?

I know several people who set up PC's just to act as dedicated servers for their games and now servers have to be rented? For those who refuse to move on from their archaic machines it's a good idea but for those of us who have dedicated hardware (wish I could host a few dedicated servers) it's nothing more than a ripoff. However, it's always been possible to rent dedicated servers and this just forces you to spend money.

Also look where I live. Is it reasonable to expect people in faraway lands to pay for a server on the other side of the world to have massive pings? Where are they going to get the money from when they're struggling as is? COD IV sold pretty well here but this game will get pirated and hacked servers will be set up. Those naughty, naughty 'pirates' making publishers pay for their stupidity.
