    I think APEX is in the SP. The volumetric smoke looks much better now...

    This game in nothing like Metro LL which is to this date (together with TR) the prettiest game since 2012. Some levels are REALLY beautiful in this game: like underwater missions, jungle missions, night mission, snow mission. The textures look nice but overall train textures don't look good when you zoom your weapon on it. They look quiet good from a distant.

    Now all these next gen stuff might be WOW for someone who has never played a game on pc but games like BF4, NFS AC4 look much better on a pc that can run them on high-ultra. I really don't understand why people are standing and act like idiots to obtain a console which basically offers you better graphics. There is nothing next gen about them.

    All the time. Tried another round of multiplayer today and it just doesn't work out.

    I'm not having any micro stutter anymore (which I only had at the beginning of a match anyway) :) I think it some kind of lag caused by host, lobby.

    Patch notes:

    Performance

    • Improved framerate performance when traversing moving platforms.
    • Improved latency for AMD graphics cards.
    • Improved performance issues caused by spamming.
    • Improved shader warming and level load performance.



    Stability

    • Fixed crash in CODeSports play.
    • Fixed spawn crash for specific maps/modes.
    • Improved usability of broadcaster HUD.
    • Additional animations added for broadcaster mode.
    • Improved steam friends functionality.
    • Fixed smoke flickering and graphical corruption within blurred area of
      dual render scope.
    • Re-enabled fur and smoke DLLs from nVidia.



    Additional Fixes

    • Fixed a variety of map specific spawn issues .
    • Fixed lobby migration closing the create a class screen.
    • Fixed not showing attachments and weapon camo for players while in
    private match lobby.
    • Fixed dog's extended kill not showing properly in final killcam.
    • Fixed loadouts appearing restricted if a restricted perk was selected in specialist strike package even though specialist wasn't equipped.
    • Fixed split screen UI issue that could potentially leave player in a bad
    state.
    • Fixed issue when selecting store from squads.
    • Fix to remember spectator team when switching to freecam in broadcaster mode.
    • Fixed issue with loading into specific maps with ghost mask equipped.

    Yep tried with SLI enabled and disabled. I'm really angry now that they can release this like this. Bit my tongue for a while and tried to give them time. But i still have this weird stuttering and even worse mouse lag. Really annoyed now, £40 just down the drain

    I've been getting hitching since the patch, the game runs worse for sure.

    the fur looks great and the token tessellated assets here and there are noted, but the rest ..just can't do it, engine is too dated for my spoiled eyes. still cool the gpu PhysX was injected though, lots of hope for cod 2014.

    i just want to say i haven't had so much fun and felt inside a cod game since mw1 or maybe blackops, the flow of the campaign is very very good.the levels look very good also.this is really as good as it gets in singleplayer experiences...

    Performance really is way too low for what is being delivered graphics-wise.
    I'm just playing through the campaign of Black Ops 2 and while some parts look great, others really screamed "Quake" from every corner :D
    If you see vehicles driving around, or some of the water (the multiplayer map plaza has this too), looked more than dated.

    I can't really see what they did though to kill performance in the way we have it right now. Textures don't look better than before, plants/vegatation don't look more refined, player models and structures are like they've always been.
    Am I missing something?

    Yes, at least according to the tech videos we saw before release. I've only played the multiplayer so far (as I want to wait for the performance/stability to reach a certain level first) and I couldn't really spot any major differences.
    Graphics would even look far worse and blurry if I didn't turn on high levels of MSAA for example (tried a round with only SMAA yesterday and it was horrible) so I'd yet have to see the "big change" that costs so much performance.
    Before I was running Black Ops and Black Ops 2 at 120fps constant with 8x/16x AA and maximum detail.
    I'm not even close to that with 4xAA now and get some annoying micro-stutter on top of it too.

    Textures are very good for the most part in COD GHOST, much better compared to BO2 and even Battlefield 4 (in BF4 textures use shader effects, to make you think its high resolution). The problem is, they eat so much Vram, that 2GB card is not enough for 1080p, so engine has to scale down all textures, and they will appear blurry as hell. When I run GHOSTS in 640x480 (and free up some Vram) I was shocked how much better textures load up :). I think this engine is too old for high resolution textures, you need probably 6GB Vram card to play this game correctly @ 1080p

    To be honest, I also thought graphic difference from BO2 wasnt so big, but I run BO2 yesterday and I need to say, Ghosts looks noticably better (dense vegetation, very good textures, tesselation on the ground and human faces, and also lighting has improved... underwater mission looks just stunning)

    Performance wise.. game runs great for the most part, 80-120 fps, but there are some unoptimised places/effects, when fps dips down like mad even on TITAN. For example using scopes results in huge fps drop (something like that its just hilarious in COD game) and also there are few places during the game, especialy in the jungle mission, when fps will be cut in half (maybe engine limitation?)

    About FUR FX, its looks really nice, especialy on wolves :), I only hope they will optimise this thing, because there are 50-65 fps dips when this dog Riley is around me :D (even if you not look at him fps will drop, very strange).

    ...But I cant find APEX settings in my game options, maybe this thing shows up only with SLI settup?

    Apex will only show up in multiplayer.

    I'm curious: You're saying performance is fine on your 680, yet I have microstutter and poor performance all-over on a 670? :D

    No stuttering, but I'm using DXtory as my frame cap, it helps with inputlag and stuttering. Also COD engine use texture stream and your HDD/SDD speed is crucial, may page file is sometimes 8GB in this game.

    And about performance, your card is not exactly 680GTX

    As you can see, 670 is 13 fps slower compared to 770GTX, and mine 680 is OC'ed well above 770 stock speeds. Now after new Nv drivers and few COD patches this game runs even better.

    My card runs at 1.3GHz, so actually it's faster than a default 680 or 770. Game and OS are both installed on SSDs, two separate ones to be exact.
    RAM, as I'm using 16GB, isn't an issue either. Framerate limit? Well of course, set to 77fps. So, the question remains.

    Even if -> 13% wouldn't make the difference between "nice and smooth" and stuttery.

    When I made my battlefield 4 video one guy with his 670 OC'ed was surprised how fast this game runs on my PC. Here between stock 770 GTX theres 13fps difference as you can clearly see in this chart, Its hard to belive your @1300 OC will give you additional 15-17 fps (to be on the same level as mine card). Also there are few additional differences (not the same CPU, older PCIexpress technology, things that are important because GHOSTS use texture stream), not to mention HT on your CPU (try to turn this off because people complain it gives stuttering in games).

    For me, they need just to correct textures issue and scopes fps drop and I will be happy with performance, now textures look like crap on my 2GB card and I'm not willing to buy 6GB TITAN just for this game
