Agreed. Props to Frito-Lay though for pulling it from all their products.

I've been using Trans Fat Free oil in my restaurant for the last 13 years and am completely surprised it took this long for people to catch on...
Not only is it healthier, but even though it's 1/2 again more expensive than blend/canola/etc. oils, it lasts TWICE as long and doesn't transfer flavor (i.e. fish and fries can be cooked in the same fryer and *none* of the fish flavor is transferred to the fries.)

Glad to see that at least one state has made it mandatory...

I guess this is good? Seems kinda "Over-control" though IMO.

    Oh FFS
Why don't we just ban french fries, they're unhealthy too.
Of course, 'roid bans never stopped only arnie, so maybe he does realize how stupid some bans can be.
I'm not the first to scream, aaaaaaa, big government, but do we really need this type of govt intrusion in our kitchens? This isn't a safety issue, it's a health choice issue.

Also, BTW, this OMG get rid of transfat thing is hilarious as something with 2g transfat is being replaced by something with 4g saturated fat, which is worse for you, but then they can scream "No trans fat!"

Who is the only drunk man/god in the universe that is allowed to headbutt a camel into subconsciousness? Why that would be Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I guess the state assumes that the people are incapable of dealing with their own health issues so they need to mandate it for them. :3eyes:

Some of these transfat substitutes are even more dangerous:http://wcbstv.com/health/interesterified.fat.trans.2.596300.html

States rights? perhaps, but it sounds more like "nanny" states rights imo, :p

Every ten years or so someone picks a new 'bad' nutrient. **** that was bad fifty years ago is now suddenly good, stuff that was good fifty years ago is now suddenly bad. It's a load of BS. What you eat isn't so important as how much. Eating something with trans fat isn't so bad, but if you eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner..

The choice should be mine on what I want to eat.. if Resturant A has trans fat and B doesn't and I wish to eat at A then so be it... but a law telling me what I can and can't eat is bs.
