    Hi,

I recently changed my MB to gigabytes P43-DS3L, and OC my E6420 to 3ghz (375 x 8). But then problem arise.... my HyperTX2 fan cracked (cause it to spin improperly and faster and faster). Too poor to buy new CPU cooler right now but reluctant to just buy a normal noisy fan (here very little choices of fan)
So i thought of using ultra glue to seal the crack for the moment. Then i just thought why not try the heatsink without a fan.

idle Temp is around mid 40c, load is probably highest at high 50c. But since i dont play long hours of game like i use to? Do you think it's dangerous to continue not using a fan to it?
I like the quietness, but dont intend to kill the MB/CPU too soon.

    cheers

It's best to use a fan on the cooler, especially when overclocked.
