I am reposting my rig because it underwent so many changes.I am in the process of building a new rig that will perform above average on games untill dx10 comes out, then will be ready for those high powered cards to run in SLI. It looks very good. However you simply must get a monitor with a higher resolution. Otherwise the power of those sli'd graphics card will be completely wasted. Also the 922 is reviewed fairly poorly and only seems to have a fast responce rate. This is the monitor i'd get for that system...

Other than that it looks very very good. I am envious of you. I still have to wait to get my new rig. Oh yeah and you may want to consider a HD with perpendicular recording, although i'm no expert in that and it may offer little benefit over the drive you've selected.

edit: Core 2 is the right choice.

very very nice , conroe is great and your chioce of parts must be commended

get the arctic cooling freezer 7 pro for that conroe to keep the thing cool, and id getb a bigger monitor to , something that supports 1600 x 1200 resolution

If you want a good viewsonic monitor you have to go with their VP models not their VX, in my opinion.

Oh sorry i forgot to mention that i reckon the ocz 700W psu should cover the new gpus. I am always praising that psu and as far as i'm concerned its the best there is to offer. The only psu which comes close is the enermax, but unless each gpu consumes MEGA wattage, that ocz will cover it.

I know there are rumours of each gpu consuming 300W or something ridiculous but they simply couldnt get away with that and i dont think they'll consume much more than currant gpus.

edit: I also would be worried about that nforce 4 mobo. Isnt there anything else you could get? I'm not expert on conroe chipsets.

why not a 7600GT? i mean Dx10 hardware will be out in a few months most likely, so getting a 7900GT sounds like a waste of money, with a 19" LCD a 7600GT will serve you nicely as an interim card, and save you a cool 100 bucks
