    Hi, I'm building a computer and i'm fairly nervous because I haven't done one yet. I was hoping if ppl can look over my build and give any sort of insight or advice I should consider before I buy the parts.

    Thank you in advance! :)

    Get at least the same PSU as me - Corsair CX600 (non modular) or CX600M.

    Over time, the highest useable rating lowers due to caps becoming less efficient. You don't want any troubles caused by the PSU and a new system should have nice overhead, while operating about 50% load capabilities. If you can afford a higher Corsair, go for it. Even more so if you might want SLI/Crossfire in the future.

    Maybe think about getting a little bit larger case too. Airflow will be better and components will thank you for it. Matter of fact, you must without question.

    Your motherboard is ATX and the case you listed is micro ATX!

    If the CPU does not come with a fan, you will need to purchase one and don't forget about thermal grease for CPU like Arctic Silver and case fans (extra if you want, or maybe the case you choose will have sufficient already.)

    You'll also need a hard drive or solid state drive. A DVD burner would be nice too or at the very least, a DVD reader. BluRay reader or burner is an option as well.

    Latest edit: You will probably want to get an AMD video card with that motherboard, since SLI is not supported. If you want to go multi-gpu in the future, AMD is your only choice with that board.

    @Geryboy
    I'm afraid i don't know a lot about these computer parts, the main thing that drove my decision was price. Mostly I wanted to get one of those 6th generation cpu's since I noticed that the socket was different. I don't think i've seen a K model of the cpu, maybe it isn't offered at my local store
    As for DDR4, i was going to buy all the parts new so thank you for your suggestion for DDR4. I'll do a bit of research to find out what the difference is between DDR3 and DDR4 to see if it's worth it to make the upgrade. Thank you for all your input!

    Powersupply always has me confused, I went with corsair for the name and that bronze certification. A better powersupply would definitely help futureproof my system, when I picked this one I was just trying to get something that wouldn't underpower my computer since a salesperson told me that was a common mistake for new systems.
    Thank you for catching the motherboard and case problem! I'll find a new case then, i wanted something smaller and more discreet but didn't realize that the motherboard wouldn't fit in it.
    As for the CPU, I read that retail boxes come with a heatsink and fan so I think that will help a lot. I was considering buying some other cooling system but I'm guessing that the fan that comes from the retail box should be enough. I haven't seen a cpu cooling fan that's supposed to be ok for socket 1151, maybe because its still fairly new. At least for fan I can wait until I've run the system a bit to see if heating is a problem before buying an upgrade.
    As for hard drive I do have an old one that I didn't post but yes I should be ok there :)
    Video card was a big one. I thought the only thing that matters for video is that PCI Express 3.0. I don't think i'd need multiple GPU's, the one I listed there seems to have a few display ports which I'm guessing I can connect multiple monitors which will be very nice in the future.
    Thank you for all your input too!

    I appreciate both of your help and time to look over these computer parts. I wanted to make sure the parts can all work together and that I didn't overlook anything. There's a few things I'll have to look into from both of your comments. I hope the system works well together and that the brands I chose will be quality. Again, thank you both :)

    Agreed. Spend the extra money and go DDR4 and K model chips. its the smart way to go since you will be spending the money anyhow. you wont regret it.
