    Hello AMD engineers.

I would like to report a bug with the latest beta driver, namely amd-catalyst-15.11beta-64bit-win10-win8.1-win7-nov3.

With a clean DDU driver install, when trying to launch Bioshock Infinite, a small box pops up that says "Bioshock Infinite has stopped working." In event logs, it blames atidxx32.exe.

This result is repeatable, 1 or a million times.

I then installed AMD-Catalyst-15.7.1-With-DOTNet45-Win7-64bit for testing purposes and there is no issue with the game and it runs well.

Please look into this and fix future versions of that file.

Thank you for your time. If you need further info, please ask.

    Win7 SP1 64 bit, ASUS HD 7790 2gb OC, 4GB DDR2 PC2-5300

P.S. Bioshock (non-Infinite earlier game) is not affected.

Here is a screenshot showing the same exact thing, only from when the computer was trying to use the atidxx32.dll when it was only in its original default location. (Before copy to game folder.) Just for thoroughness...

I even tried deleting all instances of atidxx32.dll then re-installing latest beta to replace it, and it still fails the game, so I do not think the file was corrupted after any install. My files systems do not ever give troubles and are checked /r often.

Just report the thread and ask for it to be moved instead of making another identical one

And there is a "New Posts" button that shows all new threads, so it won't be missed anyway

atidxx32.exe is not part of the game, remove it from \BioShock Infinite\Binaries\Win32 folder and see if the crashes stop.

Obviously, hence the report to AMD (hopefully, heh.)

In fact, that is how it is working here now - with beta driver installed, but with 15.7.1 version of that file in the game folder. If it is removed from the game folder, the game instantly crashes upon trying to start it up again.

    No worries. They will understand.

Driver version 15.201.1151.1010 dated November 13, 2015 also exhibits the same behavior. Just reporting on my findings.

They fixed it. Excellent work AMD.

New Crimson 15.300.1025.0, November 17, 2015 driver does not exhibit the game crash at startup behavior any longer.

Test method: Removed atidxx32.dll version 15.7.1 from game folder and the game started without issue when it relied on the newest version just installed into system folder.
