What? I told him he could save some cash with G840. Not should. Do you actually understand the difference between these two?

Very good of you to notice the error in clock speed. A++

Because it's an alternative he could consider if he didn't want to pay as much.

Why do you even care what I have said in a different thread? Why do you bring that up here, to derail this thread? Your penny pinching comment was obviously prompted by what I've said in this thread, and it was stupid because in the context of this thread, as I pointed out, "penny-pinching" is actually not a bad idea.

yes its 2.8 not 2.9 that you claimed to be. so that is a $40 difference cheaping out to a dual core pentium with no ht and 300mhz difference. you claimed it was 200mhz iirc. I`m just glad agent and I were here to steer OP in the right direction

Mhm right, whatever you say. I recommended i3-2100 as well, so I don't really see how you two are doing anything but derailing the thread.

Penny penching is relevant to this thread as the 1600mhz ram fit his budget, maybe you didnt notice that? The point is, is that you say that to everybody regardless of the budget

Im done witg the thread, OP has got his build already. No sense in replying to you so you can derail the thread more

That's up to him to decide, not you, not me.

    :wanker:

Right. So that's your point? And I'm derailing the thread? OK.

By the time you 3 get done arguing....I'll decide to trade my i7 870 for an i3 2100 just cuz you guys told the OP it's good for a budget gaming rig....lol.

1600mhz ram may fit his budget, but he'll see no benefit from it as it'll be clocked down to 1333mhz on the Gigabyte H61M-USB3-B3....and that's according to Gigabyte.

Going with the sandybridge you can just upgrade the processor to 2600k/2700k...

Hmm... Then I don't really see the reason to go for the G.Skill 1600mhz ram, might as well just stick to 1333mhz Kingston Value Ram, as it seems.

Hey guys, a quick overlook at what I'm ordering, before I do it today. I had to lower the budget, cos another thing popped up, but this is what I came up with:

    i3-2100
Gigabyte GA-H61M-S2P-B3 mATX mobo link: http://www.arvutikeskus.ee/est/TOOTEKATALOOG/ARVUTIKOMPONENDID-Emaplaadid-LGA-1155-emaplaadid/127962
2 sticks of Kingston Value Ram 2GB
    Coolermaster Elite 350 case
    Corsair CX430 80+ psu
    Samsung dvd drive
    Gigabyte HD6770 http://www.arvutikeskus.ee/est/TOOTEKATALOOG/ARVUTIKOMPONENDID-Graafikakaardid-VGA/118638

So everything ok with this build?

the build looks pretty good, i think most games will work no problem.
a friend has something very similar in performance with an athlon2 x4 4gb ddr2 and 5770 and he can play everything on his 1366x768 monitor and even on one of my 1920x1200 monitors and considering your processor is better cpu intensive games should run smooth
