I still get a BSOD from time to time, monthly couple of times. Been using heavily overclocked system so im not surprised. Im gonna miss that.
Same here. Well, at least none that I couldn't figure out. The only time I've seen them after Win 7 was when the FX8350 I got was defective and would BSoD. AMD replaced it and I never had another issue.
Eww...I can't stand that green. Users should have the choice of color of that screen based on their chosen theme. Maybe even make it random.
Green is the color of death, and also the color in the hospital (to contrast with blood) to ease the cleaning. green for something wrong iw wise
... A needless change.... Though I think they should went with RSOD.... and yes I make crack at the RROD...
I bet Sony sent a letter to MS to remove the "BLUE" that belong to Sony, Because Xbox is belong to green, So MS bow to Sony for sake to change the green hehe.
You could, you know, turn down your CPU by 200MHz and stop using an unstable system? Trust me, your CPU isn't going to bottleneck anything you do. I get BSoD's all the time too, but that's because I'm constantly testing new settings for various reasons. Is it my imagination, or are the new Win 10 (Win 8+?) BSoDs useless? All it says for me during an OC crash is "uncorrectable_error", versus a more specific error code that Win 7 would spit out. I guess I could dig up the crash log if I ever needed to know what it's about?
Windows creator update will add "Game Mode" to Windows 10 to "enjoy" an Xbox One dumbed and well closed gaming experience on PC: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VH9f8UULgmU I guess GREEN GSOD should be ready to welcome Xbox One crashes on Windows next March... Edit: I forget to add the Windows Guru point of view. Paul Thurrott https://mobile.twitter.com/thurrott/status/814138808904118272?ref_src=twsrc^tfw
We will get interpted by a gsod plus a getting a seizure from green useless screen. thanks M$ Keep up, the good ideas.
The fact that failure has its own colour isnt a good sign, shouldnt need to be told my sytem has buggered up i will alreay know Happy New Year
Your Screen of Death is green now, cool right?! Everything is awesome .... PS. With that large change it should be Windows 11
As mentioned already - this is only for "INSIDERS" so that MS can easily distinguish between the current build and beta builds. It's still very much a BSOD for the masses.
